1. Lawn jockey
2. Danger High Voltage Signs
3. TV & internet**
TV required trips to Red Box 20 miles away. Internet spotty or non-existent. Should say bring your own DVD or gam systems that don’t require internet.
Most of Hwy 60 has NO SERVICE for any phone services/Verizon and others.
Put your map instructions in before leaving Blairsville or Blue Ridge.
The pet cat that had been to the taxidermy, sitting a basket, on the bedroom dresser upstairs was creepy.
Both bathrooms were downstairs and both TVs. The AC should have been turned on before we arrived. It took until the next morning to be comfortable. The thermostat was set above 80.
Artificial LARGE flower arrangements and LARGE mirrors were in EVERY space. Those people who have allergies would have difficulty.
Notes: Do Not Touch on the shelves…wouldn’t someone put their valuables in another location, especially if you are renting to families.
The living room furniture was very old, scratched up, worn out, torn, and attempt to cover up the couch didn’t improve comfort. The couch cushions were about 1-2 inches thick. We felt the wood.
The kitchen table was nice and well stocked with cooking utensils. There was no working ice maker but 3 trays were available. The radio/cd player reached an Atlanta station. We would have brought our CDs if we had known.
The suggestion to bring your groceries before leaving large cities is VERY Important! The corner store doesn’t have gasoline. Think 1960-1970 store. Just the basics.
We were planning to bring our grand boys under the age of 6. Thank God, they weren’t able to come because if they had heard/saw the running water outside (tiny creek) with the HIGH VOLTAGE signs over the creek. They wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the large front yard, without an adult guard at the creek. We were not sure if the signs 10 feet away from the porch included the length of the creek or that particular spot.
The Lawn Jockey was very offensive and I wanted to get a can of paint and repaint him, but I restrained myself.
Truth in advertising or at least a clarification of TV and internet listing should be explained.
We went out and bought a fire stick thinking it would work. It did not.
The area around the rental was beautiful.
