With the ability to sleep up to 13 people, you can bring the entire crew down for a beach vacation when you book Mar Vista. Featuring five bedrooms and 4 ½ baths, this house features two king bedrooms, two queen bedrooms, a room outfitted with triple bunks and a sleeper sofa. An open floor plan is accentuated by a large living room downstairs with sectional seating. The kitchen, with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and ample cabinetry, overlooks the living area and a beautiful Gulf-front view. Bedrooms and bathrooms are amply sized, with the master bathroom featuring a Jacuzzi tub with separate shower. The bunkroom is whimsically decorated with a nautical flair perfect for the kids. Fun takes center stage in the Morgantown subdivision where Mar Vista is situated; there are two community pools, two tennis courts and a children's pool.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Family vacation

The house was dirty, broken window boarded up with wood, no shower head, no pillow cases the microwave vent was broke, stove drawer broke, downstairs was a mess from previous guest, floors made our feet and grandbabies feet and knees turn black. We went and bought cleaning stuff and mopped the floors so the kids could crawl and play in floor. Not a good experience. Couldn’t go anywhere else due to the money we spent on this condo, also reached out to Vacasa and sent pictures and got the complete run around. Won’t stay here again.The space is great for large families.

Great beach house for a lot of people

The house has a nice secluded driveway, area is nice, and it's right on the beach. House had plenty of room. I would stay here again

Mar Vista- needs some TLC:(

We love Mar Vista but it could use some TLC and it’s not clean at all. Lots of huge cockroaches in dishwasher, bathroom, master BED..cleaning crew is not cleaning it very good. The views are great, but the house was a huge disappointment this time.

Location is Great!!!!!!!

We loved the location! Mar Vista was tucked away from the main road and very close to the water on a private beach. Easy to walk back up to the house to a snack or make a pit stop. Beautiful view!! Saw dolphins everyday and a couple of small sharks. Lots of Blue Crab. Beautiful! The best thing about this house is the location. We figured out quickly that the high rental price is for the location. The house is very big but was very ill equipped. Absolutely no organization in the kitchen. It was a hunt behind every cabinet door. But I could have lived with that until I saw the big cockroach in the silverware drawer. And we saw them in my grandsons room upstairs. That was on Sunday, so I called Vacasa first thing Monday morning and the pest control man came out and sprayed that day. I didn't see any more bugs. No frills at all in kitchen. I brought trash sacks, toilet paper and paper towels, coffee filters, dishwasher pods., etc I bought a couple dishrags to use on the counters. They only provide a small sponge and two cup towels. The linens are very basic. Thin white sheets and towels. I did ask for extra towels and Vacasa got another bag out to us that day. The beds were okay, again basic. Large bedrooms with two ocean front masters one up one down. The layout of the house is great for large families. Easily accommodates 10. And the deck is awesome but needs some attention. The house needs an upgrade and some repairs. However, we had a great time and Fort Morgan is so quiet and laid back which is what we like. Again, a renter cannot get a better spot on the beach that this was. Vacasa was very good about getting any complaints quickly taken care of. I also had to call about internet. A technician came out, but it was an area issue, not the house. We didn't have it for 4 days and then then it was sketchy. Wasn't a real issue for us as we all have hotspots. It seemed to me this house is just a rental from an agency. Not a home that someone loves and takes care of. This was at least our 25th year of renting condos or houses and most of them felt like home. This one is only seen by the cleaners and renters and has no character but it’s only for a week right? Our dates were 8-13-22 thru 8-20-22.

This House is False Advertisement!!!!!DO NOT RENT!!!DANGEROUS!!! The pictures are lies!!!

I would rate this house a negative but it did not give me the option. We were dissatisfied from the beginning. We arrived at the house at 4:00 to check in, as indicated by 4 emails received from Vacasa. We had to sit in the car until 5:15 because of cleaning issues. Upon entering the house it was not clean. The appliances and the dishes were not clean. The porches had food and trash on them. The porches and stairs are rotten all the way around the house. We had small children and this could really be a legal issue. The air conditioner is old and going out. The house would never cool off. The condensation runs under the house on the cement where you park your car, it was molded and very slippery. There were not curtains on most of the windows the sun made the house very hot. The blinds that were on the windows were old and did not work, mostly broken. The upstairs bathrooms were terrible. In the showers the plumbing was coming out of the walls. The lights were out in the shower stalls. The beds are terrible! We did not have the proper sheets for the king beds, we had to make due. I called Vacasa several times, they did send a nice handyman to screw all the loose boards, but this does not help they are rotten. The air conditioner man came and said there was not much he could do. I did talk to a supervisor at Vacasa, he was suppose to call me back. I requested to be moved and he never called me back . I can not express enough how what bad shape this house is in.

Great stay!

The house is very spacious, extremely clean, and rooms are thoughtfully furnished. We loved the room upstairs that didn’t have beds; it was a second common space for our large family. The beach was super quiet, although we weren’t there during a peak season. Would have rated 5 stars if not for the fact that this house was the most in need of TLC, when compared to all other houses near it. The deck and house has chipped wood (splinters in all bare feet), rust stains all over the house siding, broken wood pieces, etc. A few pieces of furniture either had tears or were extremely work. Not controllable by the owners or Vacasa, but don’t count on cell service or Wi-Fi. The house Wi-Fi was down more than it was up, and we had no cell service at the house. Also, pack pillows and kitchen towels. Each bed only has 1-2 super thin pillows, and there were no kitchen towels.

Lovely home. Needs some repairs.

This is a beautiful, comfortable home with a great floor plan and wonderful beach access. It fit our family of 7 adults and two children nicely. We particularly enjoyed the large covered deck on the main floor! I would have given it five stars were it not for some needed repairs/maintenance. The a/c needs to be checked and possibly replaced, as master bedroom gets very warm during afternoon and evening hours. Similar issue in the upstairs master suite. Also, the locks on some of the main floor sliding doors have rusted and wouldn’t work properly. In the kitchen, the dishwasher wasn’t working properly and there were no oven mitts. One of the stairway railings on the front of the house was very loose and could be a liability issue if not addressed. In spite of these issues, we had a wonderful week at the beach and would likely rent Mar Vista again, especially if some of these problems are addressed.

Beautiful Beach Setting

My family and I stayed at Mar Vista for our family vacation. The beach was not crowded and the weather was perfect. We loved staying just a few steps from the beach.

Location, location, location

This property could use some simple upkeep. It needs some paint touchups, improved bedding and mattresses, and user friendly tvs. The outside storage room under the house is in horrible shape, and the owner should be embarrassed that it is one of the first things a renter sees. With that being said, we had a great vacation at Mar Vista. All eight of us enjoyed the house, the beach, and the pool. There is a code to get in the pool area, which the local Vacasa staff evidently did not know about. The location of the house was perfect for our getaway vacation.

Will not use Vacasa Management again; poorly run and no responses

The house was not cleaned when we arrived at 4:00 check in time. The vaccuum cleaner did not work so we could not even clean the floors. Vacasa sent someone late afternoon to change the sheets on the bed and leave towels. Vacasa told me they would contact me about reimbursing our cleaning fee. I contacted them 3 more times and still have not gotten a response. The air conditioning in both masters did not work in the afternoon through the night. The dishwasher would not run on the heavy cycle and water poured out. The maintenance person could not fix it. The deck had splinters and rusty nails throughout - a concern for grandchildren. I hope this helps future renters - I would like to have known these issues before we booked.

Awesome Private Beach

Enjoyed our stay in this home. It was very roomy and clean. Just a few minor issues, but nothing major. Would definitely book again. There were no pot holders in the kitchen. Could use more than one kitchen towel. Also needs more hand towels and washcloths. The Dish satellite didn’t work until a repairman came out on the 5th day of our stay. We had to spend $75 on an adapter to watch TV. Downstairs air conditioner didn’t work that well, especially in the master bedroom. Fan in upstairs king room had a noisy squeak. And finally, would be nice to have the code to get in the gate to the pool and tennis courts. We had to wait until someone came along and let us in.

Perfect location property needs work

Perfect location! Beach was beautiful! The house needs updates, a knife was found in the couch by my granddaughter with a dirty bandaid, we also had several water bugs that look like roaches, the kitchen light was hanging on by the light bulb.

Dream Home in a Dream Town

Someone pinch me, bc I'm still dreaming! We had a vacation in Fort Morgan, near Gulf Shores and it was incredible. The views from every bedroom, the endless hot water, the stroll to your own private beach, the jacuzzi tub... Breathtaking! We were thrilled by the night sky there that is not ruined by tons of commercial lighting. That made our drive to civilisation (25 min) so worth it. I'm thankful for Vacasa making my birthday weekend a total fairytale.

Beautiful!!

Mar Vista was everything we wanted and more! The home is nicely decorated, clean, very spacious, the views from the deck are amazing! Our family loved it so much this is the only home we want to book in the future! The view from the kitchen was gorgeous! Highly recommend!!!
