Truckee Family Friendly Retreat with Hot Tub

Welcome to our home, ‘Wooden Bliss’, in the popular Lake Tahoe neighborhood of Tahoe Donner!

Enjoy the peaceful serenity of the mountains in this cozy and comfortable cabin. The home boasts a rustic and homey interior with raised ceilings, multiple rooms for recreation and relaxation, a well-equipped kitchen, and enough room for the whole family. The exterior features a private backyard with a hot tub to unwind after a day of adventuring. We are pet-friendly and would love to have your furry friends join you!

This home comes with:

The room configuration is as follows:
- Master Bedroom / King Bed, En-Suite Bath
- Bedroom 2 / Queen Bed
- Bedroom 3 / Two Bunk Beds w/ Trundle (6 twin beds in total)
- Bedroom 4 / Queen Bed
- Loft (above living room) / King Bed


As you enter the house, there are stairs going up which lead you to the main floor. On the first floor, you will find our open kitchen, dining, and living area with floor to ceiling windows, lots of natural light, vaulted ceilings, and more. On this floor you will also find a half bathroom and the master bedroom.

The kitchen is fully stocked with any appliance you could think of, multiple coffee-making options (yes we know….a must!), all of the cookware and service ware you would need. Whether you love simple cooking, baking or grilling, we have you covered!

In the living room, you enjoy comfortable seating with SAMSUNG 75-Inch Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is a good collection of books and board games for you to enjoy during your stay. Behind the couch in the living room is a 6 seater Game table where you can work on puzzles or play games. This area also has a 10 seater Dining Table and a high chair. There are 4 bar stools overlooking the kitchen where you can serve breakfast to the kids. There are additional chairs throughout the area. Plenty of seats for everyone!

There are two patios off of the main level. If you like eating outdoors, one of the patios overlooking the entrance of the home, has an 6 seater outdoor seating. The other patio overlooks the backyard (including the hot tub!). This patio has a high quality Weber Grill. Please note, the hot tub is serviced on Wednesdays. The technician will likely not need to interact with you during your stay, but please be aware somebody will be checking and servicing the hot tub on Wednesdays.

The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and an en suite bathroom with a jetted tub!

The kids bunk room (2 bunk beds + 2 trundle beds = 6 twin beds in total) is located downstairs with the other two guest bedrooms (each with queen beds) and a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Smart TVs, Game consoles, Playing cards, a huge selection of board games and a foosball table are all available.

Bunk beds for the kids are always fun and we have 6 twin beds in the same room! What more do kids want from a vacation? Also a huge bonus for parents as they can have their own space on the main floor. A real vacation!


Home Truths:
- Please note that during the winter months, outdoor furniture is unavailable.
- Please note that this home DOES NOT have air conditioning.
- Please note that during the winter months, we recommend 4WD.
- Due to extreme wildfire risk, any type of outdoor wood burning fireplaces, fire pits, or charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in fines starting at $5,000 per Lake Tahoe short term rental regulations.
- This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in additional fines and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
- As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits of 10 guests age 13 and older, and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
- Events or parties are not allowed under any circumstances. Parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed.
- Guests will have access to the entire home (with the exception of a couple locked closets/cabinets).
- We do have 2 ring cameras installed on the exterior of the property(no audio recorded).


We would love to welcome up to 2 of your furry friends with you during your stay! Maximum 2 dogs (30 pounds or less and don't shed) are allowed with advance notice of reservation. Pet fee of $100 PER DOG must be paid prior to arrival. We have a dog bed and bowls for your furry friends on the main floor.
While we love all furry friends, we cannot welcome the following into our home:

Labrador Retriever
German Shepherd
Golden Retriever
Siberian Husky
Akita
Chow Chow

Dog Rules:
- Please make sure all pet excretion is picked up in the backyard and around the property.
- Please clean any excess pet hair from the furniture to help the cleaners prepare the home for the next guests*.
*Additional cleaning fee may be applied if there is excessive pet mess.

Tahoe Donner:
During your stay you will have access to Tahoe Donner amenities which include skiing, marina, rec center access, etc.

Please check the Tahoe Donner website for available amenities and to make reservations at the pool and other facilities.


OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Cleaning fee includes the hot tub cleaning after your stay.

A Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and a Truckee Tourism Business Improvement District Tax is included in your reservation fee. This is built directly into your nightly rate at booking.

Please note that this rental does require purchasing short term vacation rental insurance for stays up to 29 nights (reservations longer than 29 nights will need to discuss insurance options with Tahoe Cohost Collective prior to booking). The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury, if the fee has been paid. Complete terms regarding the Trust and Safety coverage can be found at www. go.safely .com/tahoecohostcollective. The Trust and Safety Fee is refundable only if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible or minimum claim amount will be the responsibility of the Guest, and Tahoe Cohost Collective will process using the form of payment on file for Guest.

Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try to accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.

Due to unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances, including poor air quality and smoke associated with wildfires, we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to cover your cancellation, as we will not be able to offer a full refund outside the cancellation window.

Please note that we work with cleaning teams that have enhanced their cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations per CDC guidelines.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
