The Atlantic Ocean, the dunes, and the golden sand are your front yard at Purnell House 402, an oceanfront escape on the shores of midtown Ocean City.

Inside, this condo is bright, comfortable, and centrally air-conditioned. There's a full kitchen to assist in preparing beach snacks for the day, an oceanfront balcony where you can finish your morning coffee, and a living room with both a fireplace and a TV to enjoy each evening. Other at-home comforts include a private washer/dryer and free WiFi throughout the condo.

Purnell House is an oceanfront property with an outdoor swimming pool in midtown Ocean City. In this wonderful location, you'll be less than a block from Coastal Highway, which is lined with all sorts of restaurants, shops, conveniences, miniature golf courses, and nightlife. Enjoy easy access to the Ocean City Expressway and the Assawoman Bay Bridge (one block west), such local favorites as Fager's Island (half a mile west) and Seacrets (one mile south), Jolly Roger Amusement Park (two miles south), and the famous Ocean City Boardwalk (two miles south).

Things to Know
The fireplace is inoperable and not for guest use.
No smoking allowed, including on balconies and in common areas; violators of this rule are subject to a $100 fine.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Offseason weekend

Wanted oceanside/view. This was perfect. Clean and we could cook if we wanted. Did not stay inside much except to sleep. Because it was ocean view we got a great view of sunrise.

Dirty

The place was not very clean. There was coffee grounds and filter left in coffee maker from previous renters. There was a pan in the oven that was rusty. Dirty dishes in the cabinet. The dresser in the one bedroom was missing a door. The dresser in the other room was difficult to open to put clothes in. Will not go back there again. Said that there was Netflix but it was parental coded. Came to find out that the owner put the lock on it. Very dissatisfied vacation.

Great apartment

The apartment was very nice with a beautiful view right in front of the beach. The only down is the appliances are old so the price is a little high for how outdated it is and it wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived.

Overwhelmed with fruit flies

This place itself was nice. Great view of the ocean. Our major concern was that the kitchen was infested with fruit flies. When looking around we found an old bag of potatoes underneath one of the cabinets that was causing the fruit flies to be around. I sent a message about the issue and the response took until the next day and I'm still waiting to here back from the local manager. This was a huge disappointment for our stay, as we could not even sit and eat or drink anything in the kitchen without being bothered by the flies. I had planned to cook in the kitchen but with all the flies I could not do thay either. I hope this gets taken care of for the next renters and the cleaning is done better. A faster response would have been appreciated as well. This would definitely discourage us from staying here again unless the cleaning was better in the future.
