It was initially named Jurupa and began as a silk-growing colony. Later, it was renamed Riverside and developed as a citrus town. In fact, the state's first Washington navel orange trees, propagated from Brazilian cuttings, were cultivated right here in 1873! What I enjoy most about the neighborhood is its unique blend of historical charm and modern amenities.
