The property was as described. Clean and was stocked well enough for our needs. Had good internet connection and my cell actually worked at the house. Didn't use the hot tub though available, just didn't have time. Location was convenient to downtown Franklin and to the lake for a tour we were taking.We only had some issues with the door locking system. Took several attempts to unlock the door after locking when left. Overall a relaxing couple of days in the mountains

Unfortunately the bright and beautiful photo provided was obviously manipulated to give the appearance of a warm, well lit interior when in reality, it’s quite the opposite. For the most part, the furniture shown in the photo isn’t there but has been replaced with well used recliners, tables and area rugs. The dresser in the downstairs bedroom looks like something that would be refused by Goodwill. We found the home to be dark and damp even at midday with all of the lights turned on. The “creek” was only evident after a heavy rain and then it was merely a drainage ditch. The property surrounding the house is heavily wooded and in rough shape. Although we had rented for three weeks, we gave up and left after only two.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It's unfortunate we had no idea you were unhappy with your stay and the cabin. We did reach out to you shortly after your arrival as well as during your stay to ask if you had a preference on when our housekeeper could come balance the hot tub during your extended stay as well as our landscaper to do the weed-eating at the property but unfortunately our messages to you went unanswered. We were surprised to read your notes regarding the furnishings, as we actually fully refurnished the cabin just three weeks prior to your stay with brand-new couches, and recliners to ensure our guests have a comfortable stay. Being situated deep in a wooded mountain setting, the property offers seclusion, natural canopy shade and an underground fresh spring fed stream that varies with local weather. We’re sorry to hear the natural mountain surroundings were not what you were looking for, but we wish you well on your future trips.

Wonderful accommodations. Very peaceful and relaxing on the deck tucked back in the woods. The host was always quick to respond to any inquiries I had. A short 20 minute drive puts you back in civilization. Walmart, restaurants, etc. The one hike you don’t want to miss if you’re physical able (I counted 625 steps over the course of a half mile) is the High Falls Waterfall. The entrance is across from the beach. Go during the dam release which they do for the kayakers. The amount of water going over falls is thunderous. I’ve been to dozens of rentals all over the world. This certainly ranks near the top.

Overall mixed on this property The positives the property was clean and in a very quiet area. Nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. Negatives no WiFi and owners never provided an update if WiFi would be restored. As mentioned no phone signals for the phones so you are truly isolated Back of house needs to cleaned, firepit furniture worn out and one chair is broken. The bbq has a broken leg the whole thing should be replaced. Outside light didn’t work and a few burned out lights in the house. Kitchen pots and pans are needing to be updated. The bathroom sink very slow drain and some parts of the flooring in bathroom need to be replaced despite the new linoleum covering

The house was exactly as described and well stocked. You have everything you need in the kitchen to cook whatever you want. The location was perfect for our itinerary. The host was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay.

Access to the home was very easy and the directions the GPS were perfect. The home is spacious and comfortable. The hot tub made the perfect ending for a day of shopping and exploring. The circular drive way was an absolute plus. It made entry and exit of the property very easy. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was nice having the on-site laundry facility.

We had such a great weekend here! My husband and I had an amazing stay. We drove about an hour and a half to go apple picking, and it was totally worth it. There are tons of beautiful waterfall hikes nearby that we really enjoyed, and bringing our dogs along made it even better. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. The hosts were quick to respond and gave us some great local recommendations. Our stay couldn’t have been better, highly recommend!---Let me know if you'd like it shortened or tailored for a specific platform!

We enjoyed our brief stay here. We were en route to a longer stay elsewhere. We wanted to visit this area. The home is clean and maintained and described accurately. There is a porch; the view is immediate tres, no vistas-like a treehouse. It does seem secluded yet there are neighbors within sight from the short driveway . The microwave stopped working and the hosts replied within minutes they would replace it. Very responsive. I, not my husband, had a slight distaste for the water and its moldy musty smell . I believe they even alert guests in the house notes that it’s well water , safe. But that’s my problem. Not the hosts. Well furnished, comfortable. The driveway, short, is very rutted and our midsize SUV was not suited for that. If walking down into the fire pit area, be careful, footing is very rocky and could use some upkeep. It was a nice short stay.

The road in was rough due to heavy rains over the summer. A sedan would have a difficult time since they were deep. The house was fine and as we expected. The outside area was unusable while we were there and we did not use the hot tub. The inside had some minor issues. The owners were very responsive and plan to take care of all the issues. They were appreciative we advised them so these items could be fixed. If we were in that area I would consider staying there again.

Quiet retreat

We loved our stay at the Katie Creek Retreat! Quiet surroundings, beautiful and clean house and lots of extras that made our stay a treat. We will be back!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a fabulous time. Everything was as described and well stocked. The location was great and a short distance to many waterfalls, and both downtown Franklin and the Highlands. We enjoyed the games, hot tub and fire pit very much. We really didn't want to leave! We will be back.
