This Sweet Retreat is the pinnacle of modern farmhouse chic. Located in the Cypress Breeze community off State Road 393, this Florida vacation rental house hits every getaway sweet spot—it’s a short golf cart ride away from 30A beaches and a skip away from the area’s finest golfing, dining, and shopping. With numerous nature trails right outside your door, there is an adventure waiting for all!

But first, the house. Sweet Retreat has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and sleeps 12 guests. It’s perfect for a big family or a group of friends who like to have it all. Everything about the home is well-appointed. Wood and natural hues throughout lend a posh-but-rustic ambiance, making you feel pampered and relaxed. The first floor features a guest bedroom and sleeper sofa. The open concept floor plan is perfect for entertaining. The wine coolers and bar off the living space are a perfect touch. The kitchen is fully equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances, an apron sink, and white cabinetry.

There’s plenty of seating between the farmhouse table and the spacious counter bar. Additional seating and entertainment space is available outside on the paver stone patio. Overlook adjacent green space while you kick back and relax.

Upstairs you’ll find three additional bedrooms, including the master that offers a king bed, office desk, TV, and spacious en suite bath with a sprawling double vanity and custom-tiled walk-in shower. The second and third guest rooms have a king and a queen bed. There’s a twin over queen bunkbed in the hallway that the children will love.

During your stay, grab your access fob and take a dip in the massive, private, fenced community pool, or hop on your golf cart and head a mile up the road to the public beach access via Ed Walline Park. There’s also public parking and restrooms by the beach access. Later, drive down Highway 30A and visit the area hotspots like The Hub, Seaside, and more. There’s no limit to what you can do when you stay at Sweet Retreat!

Would love to go back!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just got back from a 4 night stay before Memorial Day and enjoyed our time. The community was quiet and the location of the house is set back in a cul-de-sac so we really did not see many people. Having the resort-style pool was amazing and we were just a mile away from restaurants and the public beach access. The house is very comfortable and modern. The kitchen is overstocked with many dishes, cups and appliances. The garage has many beach toys, floaties and chairs. I love that each bathroom and the kitchen had little boxes with travel size toiletries including aloe vera gel! We would love to come back here again.

Spring Break Getaway

This property was perfect for our party of 9, including two families with teen and tweens. It was spacious and provided both privacy for all with 4 bedroom suites and comfortable group living and dining areas for our entire crew. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces for yard games as well as the huge community pool. The golf cart was an awesome perk for getting around the community and into “town”. We rented bikes as well to explore 30A by bike trails. The property was in great condition, with clean surfaces and beds. Our only disappointment were dirty floors that forced us to wear shoes/sandals or have blackened feet. It was a minor inconvenience in the scope of things, but a detail that should be addressed. Overall, a great vacation and place for memories made with family and friends!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family just returned from our stay at Sweet Retreat. Our communication with the rental company was great and they checked in with us often to make sure everything was going well.We arrived at the house around 4 on checkin day and found the house to exceed our expectation. We've rented several VRBO houses and most seem to be overly used and "tired". This home is in very good condition. The home is located in a gated and safe community. I would guess it's located a mile from the beach but the golf cart and bikes made that an easy trek everyday. The golf cart was amazing. The garage had plenty of beach supplies like chairs and boogie boards that made it nice to not have to pack all of that.Santa Rosa Beach was busy while we were there but we went early and always had a place to sit. They ocean and beach were amazing. The shops and restaurants in the area were all very nice and we enjoyed a lot of time along the beach. We've stayed in Destin in the past but found this area much more laid back with much less traffic.The pool area in the gated community was nice but the water was freezing cold so we didn't spend much time in it. I could see families spending a lot of time there in the summer when the water has more time to heat up.We felt very safe in the community and let the kids take walks/bike rides alone. The permanent residents were very nice and we made sure to be respectful to them. This area is very quiet and not a party spot. If a party's what you desire, don't pick this area. It's very family friendly.Overall the place was great. Had large bedrooms and plenty of room for the kids to spread out and get some alone time at night. The beds were comfortable and the pantry was supplied with everything we needed from blenders to air fryers. We really enjoyed this home and location! It's at the top of the list of places we have stayed.

Wonderful Stay!!!

This house is absolutely awesome, it was perfect for our group. We had 7 people total (2 adults, 5 kids) and this house was large and fit all of us with room to spare. The location is ideal— very quiet neighborhood— we were in bed about 9 every night (or earlier) and never heard the neighbors. No traffic, and a ways back from the road. It is a gated community, and we felt very safe there. We LOVED the golf cart, and drove it to the beach each day which the kids loved. The owners have beach chairs, sand toys, and an umbrella there which we took with us each day also. The community pool is huge— we were there in October so it was brisk temperature-wise but in the warmer months it would be great. The house is decorated beautifully, beds are comfortable, it was extremely clean. It exceeded our expectations and we have stayed in a lot of rental properties. Highly recommend. If you are there more than a few days you will need to bring your own shampoo/cond/dish pods/clothes washing pods because there are only 2-3 days worth that are supplied.

Poor management response

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation rental was lovely, but the management company left much to be desired. We had multiple issues, starting off with an incorrect gate code. We had to wait thirty minutes for someone to come through the gate and allow us to follow them in. Next, the tv remotes were missing in the kids' rooms and there was no soap in any of the bathrooms. The management company did come to bring soaps, but never did fix the remotes and the TV's were never usable in the kids rooms. Our major problem was that the gas stove went out our second night while cooking dinner. Our entire meal was lost, and the unit smelled strongly of gas. The management company told us to "open a window" and that someone would be there to fix it at 8am, and by 8:30 at the latest. We woke up early on vacation to make sure we were ready for their arrival. By 12pm and after multiple failed attempts to reach the management company, we were finally told we no longer had to wait for maintenance, and they'd be calling a new technician to fix the stove. As it began raining shortly after, and continued to rain the remainder of the day, our entire evening and following day were taken up by management's failure to promptly respond to our maintenance issues, and would not follow up after our stay repeated requests for a call.
