Kathy and Keit were wonderful guests They stayed for 2 months and the home was left immaculate. You couldn't tell anyone had stayed. I was complimented numerous times by the neighborhood in how much they were enjoying the guests in my home. If you get the opportunity to host them be assured they are great guests.

A Peaceful, Homey Getaway!We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful escape away from the hustle and bustle of town—and the stargazing at night is incredible. The house itself has a very comfortable, welcoming "home" feeling.As a bonus, it’s pet-friendly, which we deeply appreciated. Our host, Verla, lives close by and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay whenever we needed anything. Don't forget to order some fresh eggs from her while you're there! Highly recommend this lovely property.

The kitchen was equipped with everything youd need to make a meal. The house had it all. Our host drove by and asked if there was anything we needed. Just so very helpful. We definitely will stay again. The area is beautiful.We hiked in the forrest just a wonderful time. It went by way to fast. Great neighborhood Recommend this vrbo.

The host was very welcoming and provided in depth directions to the home and what to do in the area. The home was very comfortable for 4 adults and 1 child, the kitchen was very large and had everything you wpuld need to make meals, and the home was very clean. We did have an issue with the heating unit, but the host came by to check it out and suggested we leave the heated fireplaces on thepught the night for heat. That suggestion worked well and we were very comfortable.

The house was very clean when we showed up. The location near the river made for some great walks with the family. The neighborhood is quite and a great place to escape.

Great for adults, kids and pets

Such a kid friendly and pet friendly property. Fully fenced in had my two city pups exploring the entire yard up and down! Beautiful community.

Cozy and relaxing

Great place! Loved the extra snacks and drinks they had available for us, very welcoming and everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, pots and pans etc. Beds were comfy, hot tub was relaxing, neighborhood was quiet. Enjoyed our time!

Great way to unplug and unwind

Beautiful skies and surroundings for looking up at the stars. Super cute home with lots of amenities, very nostalgic. Great way to unwind. Responsive hosts!

nice house but unwanted visitor

The house is well located, old but cozy, details for the children, the only thing I didn't like is that the owner came knocking abruptly using as a pretext that one of the 2 locks to enter the house marked "low battery" which I didn't have to change it at that moment, since once the battery is given the notice you have even more days to change it, I used that pretext to arrive and examine who was in the house walking around the floor below "while I was changing a battery" now I even had doubts if there were cameras inside the house too, it is very uncomfortable that you rent a house for 2 nights and one of them you have the owner arriving early for my schedules (I was going to rest not to receive unwanted visitors), out of That's why the house is very nice and I liked the location.

Loved this cute home!

My wife and i stayed here for our anniversary. We absolutely loved the strange layout of the home, the hot tub, and the scenery. The owners were very friendly and they even left supplies for smores and other snacks and wine for us. The thoughtfulness from the owners really made this stay one of our favorites. We really didn't have any complaints aside from the small TV, but that is such a minor flaw. We were there to relax without the noise from the city, and we got exactly that. We never stay at the same VRBO more than once, but we would definitely rent from these owners again!

Great getaway!

My husband and I spent our anniversary here and w we loved it! We brought the dogs and they loved the totally fenced yard with lots of room to roam and explore. This house is so close to some of our favorite hiking trails and swimming holes. The house itself was fun with a quirky layout. We could get to the play room, pool table, and hot tub either via the sprial staircase inside or the more gradual steps leading from the lower patio outside to the upper deck. We loved star gazing from the hot tub as well as the front porch swing at night. The house is on a hill and there are several steps from the parking area to the front door. Inside we found the owners had left some nice suprizes for us such as ingredients for smores, wine (we don't drink but it was the thought that counts!), popcorn, fluffy bathrobes, etc. Everything we needed was provided so all we had to bring was our clothing and a few groceries. The owner is so kind. One day our daughter and two grandchildren drove up from the valley to go hiking and swimming with us. The owner stopped by to let the kids pet her pigmy goats that wer we re on leashes. So fun!

Not the best for dogs

Overall we had an ok stay. We enjoyed the location and the hot tub. Most of the house was clean enough. The East Verde nearby was nice. The owner stopped by unannounced shortly after check in, so I wouldn’t exactly say check in was “contact free.” We have a 37 pound mixed breed dog who was not happy. The “fenced dog run” was small and consisted of fake grass and pavers. In our first hour at the house he found a way out of the dog run. There is one area of it that is not fenced as advertised, but consists of a low brick wall next to a shrub/tree. He easily made his way into the rest of the yard which is not fully fenced and is also full of stickers and foxtails, which we were frequently picking out of his fur. We had to purchase garden fencing materials and bailing wire to temporarily enclose the yard so that we could remain at the house. The sheets and pillow cases on one bed had what appeared to be pet fur. I contacted the owner to let her know about the fence issues and the sheets and ask where clean sheets were. The 2nd set of sheets also had what appeared to be fur and human hair. No offer was made to rectify the fencing issue. The owner insisted sheets are washed between renters. Maybe they need a better washer. The pool table slopes on all edges, making it great for little kids as it’s easy to shoot a ball into a pocket, not so great for skilled players.

I never like to leave a negative review of a guest but this was such a bad experience I feel like I owe it to other owners. I work very hard to always make things right with guests. Jennifer was allowed to book into one of my properties that was already booked due to a glitch thru VRBO. I did everything I could giving her a huge discount allowing her to check in early. In my listing it states I stop in and meet you and than only come when you make a request. If you don't want that you should communicate that. I stopped to let them know there was a community Ice Cream Social that evening. I did notice at that time her dog seemed to be a puppy not well behaved. No place in my listing states the full yard on this home is fenced. It is a dog run and no one elses dogs have gotten out of the same. However she could have told us she needed additional fencing and it would have been done. Instead she went and purchased fencing and than went behind my back and contacted VRBO for her money back. I as the owner if she had given me the fencing and the receipt would have paid her although I have fencing and didn't need it. She than said the sheets were dirty with dog hair. I helped make that bed and I knew better. There were 4 sets of sheets in the drawer she said those had dog hair. When she left I met with house keeper all sheets were checked no visible hair. We rolled all sheets with a lint roller we were able to find 1 black hair at the bottom of the sheet on the bed. That can happen in the laundry and I am sorry for that 1 black hair. This guest chose to stay her 3 days and the only communcation to me was complaints and don't come we want our privacy. She also complained about our split air not knowing how to use, with the instruction book right there. This is a famiy get away home and the pool table is not for someone who considers themselves a professional, it is so you can play with your kids and not be afraid they are scratching a $5,000 table. I don't think there would have been anyway to make her happy because she wanted the other house. As an owner I would caution others and I will not ever rent to her again.
