Welcome to "Mountain Dayz", hosted by Carolina Mountain Vacation Homes! This timeless log cabin is located in the gated community of Cataloochee Ranch Estates and overlooks the Great Smoky Mountain National Park! Walk out onto the front porch by the hot tub and be captivated by the mountain views.

This home boasts hardwood floors, an open floor plan, two fireplaces, and huge windows that bring in natural light. Enjoy the large master suite with an en suite bathroom upstairs. A loft with a trundle bed is available for additional guests. Downstairs offers space for entertainment with a gas fireplace, pool table, TV, lounge area, and a full SAUNA. High-speed WIFI is included throughout the home.
**AWD vehicle recommended in winter**

**We allow one dog under 30 lbs for a one-time $75 fee (please put in the notes you are bringing a dog so we can add the fee). The main deck has a gate so your pet can roam about freely while you are relaxing outside!** NO smoking on the premises.

The community pond at the entrance to the neighborhood is open to guests who want to do a little fishing (catch and release). There is also a donkey!

Christmas stay

My husband, son, and myself stayed at the property for our annual Christmas getaway and not only was the house perfect and very accommodating, the checkin process was very smooth! The beds were very comfortable and loved chilling in the jacuzzi or playing a few games of pool. I would 100% recommend this place to stay at!

Weekend Getaway

Great stay for our weekend getaway. House was well stocked and very clean. Location was about a 30 minute drive to Cherokee and Asheville which gave lots of options for us to do things.

Fabulous stay!

This was a beautiful home complete with everything you'd ever need for a wonderful family vacation. The kitchen had every gadget needed to cook at home, including an outside grill. Plenty of space in all the rooms to spread out or gather together for meals. Recommendations for activities were much appreciated!

Awesome experience!

Now that I have been to the mountains I can tell it is quite an experience to live and everyone should at least try it once. In fact, one of the things that make your experience such a good one is the place you stay, and this cabin does an excellent job in welcoming you. It has everything you need and it perfectly furnished for comfort!

Very nice family getaway in the mountain

Our family of 6 stayed at this well-maintained mountain cabin for 4 nights. House was well-equipped with everything and the kitchen was well-updated with nice appliances as well. Kids enjoyed the hot tubs, but we only wish the hot tub was hotter as we could not control the temperature and was getting cold at night times. Everything else was fantastic!

Super clean & beautiful view

We really enjoyed our short stay at this beautifully kept home. Everything went smooth & perfect. The house was well equipped & very clean. Beds were comfortable which is really important when you have bad backs. There were many places to relax. The hot tub was awesome with the perfect view of the mountains. We felt very safe knowing that only residents could come into the area because of the security gate. We will be back for sure!

Cabin in the winter

We had such an amazing time. The cabin came well equipped for all our needs! Beds were comfortable and so much to do. We enjoyed playing games at the house and cooking. We also fell in love with the sweet donkey down the road (lol). It’s a steep drive so have an equipped car in the snow. Thankfully it wasn’t snowy for us. We loved the place and would come back

Fantastic Getaway!

This home was perfect for our family of 4, and we would definitely come back and stay here again. The sauna and hot tub were wonderful to come home to after spending the day exploring the area. The location is stunning, but believe them when they say to plan your first arrival before dark. The dirt road is winding and a bit bumpy, and the driveway is daunting the first time. The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving stay. It was nice to have a wood fire on the main floor, and also charming to have the basement gas fire while we played pool and hung out. We highly recommend this home for anyone's vacation!

Amazing Mountain Views

Mountain Dayz was just as described. Very well stocked. Had everything we needed. We stayed in and used the grill a few nights. Beds were very comfortable. Amazing view from inside and out. We loved the adorable Donkey near the entrance to the neighborhood. We stopped everyday to spend a few minutes with him. He is so friendly and a wonderful greeter. The area was so nice. The house is in a great location Maggie Valley has some fun things to do . We enjoyed walking around Waynesville and eating at the restaurants. Haywood Smokehouse is a must! We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Dayz

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This home was perfect for our family of 6 with kids ranging from 4-14. Everyone had their own space and the views were fantastic off the porch at every time of day whether we were drinking coffee or relaxing in the hot tub after hiking in the Pisgah. It was far enough away from town to feel secluded and there are lots of towns to visit with hiking, swimming, museums, breweries, etc. The property managers were very responsive to our needs when I had questions. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc so you don’t have to eat our every night. The downstairs area with the pool table was great at night so we could hand as a family buy the bigger kids could stay awake and watch tv, listen to music and shoot pool while the little ones went to bed. We will be back here for sure!

Short Get Away

Overall a good experience. This house would be good for a family of 4 or 5. The master bed was very comfortable, didn't check out the others but sat on them and they felt firm. The appliances were updated. The hot tob was nice for 2. The furnishings were adequate. The pool table has a seem in it and there were only 2 cue sticks, one the tip needed glued on and the felt was totally worn off the other but, we're not champion pool players so it was ok. The cleankiness was average, thete were several dirty dishes in the cabinets and a few cob webs in the master shower. The dishes are supposed to be cleaned by the guests, so I guess thete were dirty guests some time before us. There is a very friendly donkey at the neighborhood entrance that is weelll trained to greet you and gladly accepts apples🙂

Memories made

We loved the area because the neighbors weren't too close and the house felt private but it was a close drive to lots of activities. We enjoyed this vacation so much because we were able to spend it outdoors with the kids and they had so much fun. No one was on devices or electronics except down time at night ;) We made a lot of great memories on this trip!!!! We'd love to come back!
