Highlights
Welcome to Fleming-O, a three bedroom, two bath home ideally located in desirable Morgantown. You’ll find this cottage just a few steps away from two beach access boardwalks and one of the two community pools. The other pool and the recently resurfaced tennis/pickle ball courts are within easy walking distance. The good news is, you’ll be close enough to see and hear the surf!
The Space
Fleming~O has a newly remodeled kitchen and open floor plan to the living area. The primary suite includes a large bedroom, bathroom, sitting/reading room and private balcony.
You may also look for the Sea Turtles' nests as you look for shells. Ride your bicycle, play tennis or just walk along the beach. Do as much or as little as you want as you enjoy our home.
Sit around the dining table for dinner or family games. The outside shower will cool you off after a day on the beach.
The house also offers a fenced yard and gated deck.
* Renter must be at least 25 years of age. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Fort Morgan and Morgantown
Morgantown is a lovely, unique seaside community featuring two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, two lighted tennis/pickleball courts and several beach access boardwalks. When you first arrive, you'll notice pride of ownership in this pastel colored, beautifully landscape neighborhood. Guests really enjoy walking and biking along the quiet streets and many rent golf carts and enjoy sunset drives. If you have small children or just prefer the convenience of parking close to the beach, there is a public lot just to the west of Morgantown.
Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.
Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.
Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain, and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.
Your family will also love learning about the adventures of Fort Morgan as they roam the old fort grounds. Take the ferry to Dauphin Island for a day trip. Other area activities include shopping at Tanger Outlet Mall, Waterville USA, Gulf Shores Zoo, riding go carts and playing miniature golf.

Jen the booking agent was excellent! Great communication! Very efficient, friendly and responsive. The house owner reached out immediately and welcomed us when we arrived. The beds need to be updated very uncomfortable and could use a better frying pan. Plenty of dinnerware, cups and glasses. The pet area was very nice fenced in area.

We enjoyed our stay from May 21-26. Unsure how long it had been since someone actually cleaned the house. The floors were dirty, not sure it had been mopped recently, killed several roaches in the kitchen and bedrooms. The garbage disposal smells were bad and gnats coming from the kitchen drain. The master upstairs could use a different kind of mirror, very hard to see with all the glass shelves. Overall a nice place to relax.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a beach property so you still have signs of various wear on the property but the communication was fabulous. You are very close to the beach. We love staying in Morgantown

Loved the location, walking distance to the beach and pool. Check-in was easy, was even allowed to check-in early after a 14 hour road trip which was wonderful! Neighbor is very family and pet friendly. Loved being able to take our dogs to the beach. Beach was never busy, very relaxing atmosphere. House needs some TLC. Piece of siding missing and exposed wires in the backyard were a large tripping hazard. Upon arrival we noticed several lightbulbs were burnt out, they did send maintenance the following day, however not all lights could be replaced. 2 light strips next to stove did not work and later found that th 2 outlets they were attached to also did not work. 1 light in main bathroom burnt out and was a special bulb so couldn’t be replaced while we were there making bathroom fairly dark. Upstairs bathroom mirror broken, maintenance stated he was aware and new mirror was ordered, didn’t help much for our stay. We also found a live cockroach, they sent out an exterminator the next day. We then found several dead cockroaches the few days. For the price we paid we were very disappointed with the quality of the house and facilities. Large main pool had a loose filter cover that my son fell in and tore his leg up pretty bad. While there were many nice things, overall would not choose this house again.

Thank your for your feedback Angela. We never like to hear that a guest is less than satisfied with their stay. The exposed wire you are referring to is an internet conduit pipe that has exposed itself from the winds. It is along the fence and not a trip hazard. We will certainly contact the provider to see if there is anything needed to be done with it. The home is on a mandatory pest control program and treated regularly. Per your request, we sent the pest control company out immediately for an extra treament when you reported an indigenous palmetto bug. Our records indicate that our maintenance also came immediately to take care of the maintenance issues you reported. The siding is scheduled for repair! The community pools are maintained by the HOA. We contacted the HOA to make sure there was no issues and they confirmed no injuries or concerns have been reported. We are pleased to hear that you enoyed the wonderful location. This house is very popular and enjoyed by many guests! Thanks for staying with us.

Me and my families stay was amazing. The house was beautiful and very clean. Location was the best a very quiet neighborhood and about a 5 min walk to the beach. The house had all the things we needed like beach chairs, umbrellas even a wagon to carry all our stuff to the beach. All you need to bring is your clothes. The property manager was there when and if we needed her. Greeted us upon arrival which was a bonus and If we needed anything she was accommodating to our needs. All in all this family beach vacation was the best yet with how close everything was for us. We will definitely book again and cannot wait to get back to Morgantown!!!!

a great getaway
This was our first time staying in Morgantown. We enjoyed the development and this house. While there is some wear and tear on the outside, the house was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable, the house stayed cool, the washer and dryer worked well, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and clean.
We also enjoyed the porch and the fenced in backyard for our dog. Altogether, we are very pleased with our rental. Thank you for a great week at the beach.

Last minute Memorial weekend booking
Property is a short walk to the beach. My grandkids and fur baby had a blast. Property mgmt checked in on is to make sure everything was fine and sent us a message about a fireworks show scheduled Sunday night.

Unpleasant Beach Getaway
The property was very unclean. Stove still had grease on it, shower curtain in lower bathroom had mold on it. Dead roach in same bathroom, used skin ointment tube under nightstand table, ice maker was moldy had to go out and buy a bag of ice. The bed had a huge spot looked urine on it so we turned the mattress so we didn't have to lay right on it. Had to spend an hour after traveling 8 hours cleaning it up. The onsite manager was helpful. But overall this house needs some maintenance work and definetly better cleaning. Sad when the housekeeping fee is so high its still not clean. Will not stay here again, will go back to the property before as was better overall.

We appreciate your feedback Desiree. We never like to hear a guest is less that satisfied with their stay. We are sorry to hear that you encountered some cleaning issues upon arrival. We subcontract out our cleaning and provided your feedback to the cleaning company. We offered immediate assistance to send the cleaning company back to address any concerns at your convenience but you refused. Our goal is to make you comfortable for your stay! The unit is on a mandatory pest control program. It was treated in early May which is likely why you saw a dead bug. It's great to hear our property manager was helpful and stopped by right away to assist you. Our property managers are always readily available to assist with any guest needs or concerns. Morgantown is a wonderful beachside community and we hope that you decide to return in the future.

Great family spring break!
We had an amzing stay in Morgantown on our family spring break. We drove a long way from Kansas City and found the home to be a perfect size for my husband and I and our 3 kids. My 13 year old had his own room and my 2 youngest shared a room with 2 twins. We had our own space and balcony upstairs. The house had a yard which was very convenient because we brought our dog along. the family room had plenty of space for us to enjoy a movie together after a long day at the beach. Beach was a very quick walk from the property and my boys enjoyed playing in the sand and in the waves. It is about 20 minutes from Gulf Shores proper, but there are a few restaurants nearby and a dollar general for all your needs. We loved our stay!

Fall break trip
It was our first time to the area. The house worked great for our dog and needs. It helped to have a fence/ gate! The porch was comfortable for sitting and reading. We were close to two beach access spots as well.
