The La Cruz fish market is fantastic to go buy fresh fish caught daily. You can find many species of local fish: tuna, mahi-mahi, red snapper, dorado, shrimp, lobster, oysters, abalone just to name a few! The variety changes with the season and with the fisherman’s luck! The fish mongers will even expertly filet them for you!

The seaside town of La Cruz Huanacaxtle has been a fishing village on the north end of the Bay of Banderas for generations and has recently become more modernized thanks to the largest and most modern Marina on the Nayarit coast.

When you visit this La Cruz you will witness post-card worthy scenery, including fisherman arriving at the pier on pangas (local boats), cobblestone streets, traditional buildings, church and town square. You will enjoy wonderful sunsets gazing at beautiful modern yachts and sailboats against the blue sky.
