Great house- TERRIBLE management who refused to help
The house was lovely. The pool was lovely. The listing was slightly deceptive. The house was listed as a 3bed/2bath. The house itself had two bedrooms and a bathroom. Then there was a tiny bedroom and another bathroom out in the garage. You had to leave the house through a locked door and walk through a hot, un-air conditioned garage to access the 3rd bedroom and the other bathroom. This was not ideal when our kids are young and we didn’t really want someone sleeping in a bedroom that wasn’t in the house with the rest of the family. Check in was difficult- the keypad code didn’t work and we had to spend 20 mins on the phone with customer service to get the code reset. But the reason I’m writing this review is because we we arrived the first afternoon to check in and when we drove into the driveway there were 3 big commercial size trash cans in front of the garage door & all 3 cans were stuffed and overflowing with trash. Smelly, yucky trash swarming with flies in the FLorida heat. It was obvious that some raccoons or other critters had gotten into the garbage & ripped open the bags so there was smelly garbage strewn on the driveway & the grass in front of the garage door and just steps from the backyard where the pool was. So if you swam into the deep end of the pool you could smell the trash. You could see the trash strewn all over every time you went out to the car. You couldn’t open the garage to load the car or anything because if you opened the garage door the stench of old garbage got into the house and the flies got into the house.We asked for help from management the very first night for someone to come and clean up the mess and maybe even take the trash away so we could use he trash cans for all the trash we were going to generate as a family of 6. But nobody did anything the first day. Nothing the second day. I finally spoke to the local manager on the 3rd day &she informed me that trash pickup was Monday morning. We arrived Monday and were leaving Saturday so they couldn’t help. We’d have to live with it. Local agent never even contacted me again until I reached out to her on Friday. So we spent Monday-Saturday in a lovely house with a stinking mess of overflowing trash and mess all over the driveway and side lawn. And because of this we had nowhere to put the trash we were generating. All we wanted was for someone to come and clean up the mess and empty the trash bins. But five days of asking lead to nothing. Disappointing.
