But in this spectacular rental home; The Blue Pearl; you can instantly gratify this need for sensational vistas from the private balconies overlooking the crashing waves of the Gulf Coast waters! Make your first order of the day to breathe in the fresh ocean breezes with a walk along the beach and fulfill the desire to dig those toes into warm sand; after all your back yard is the Gulf Coast Ocean. The interior layout of The Blue Pearl was designed to maximize the opportunity to take in the ocean view from the living room and dining area. Sliding glass doors off the dining room lead to a private Ocean and Pool view balcony. The kitchen adjoins the dining and living room; creating a floor plan that makes it easy for entertaining the family or a group of friends. Enjoy the 65' 4K TV while relaxing in the grand room. For additional sleeping enjoy the memory foam sleeper sofa. The Fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances offers a breakfast bar that seats 6 with an additional 12 at the custom dining table. The layout of the bedrooms is ideal for families or groups of friends. Located on the third level is a guest bedroom with a plush queen bed; flat screen TV and bath. You?ll need to flip a coin for the enviable master king suite that has the ocean view; plus a door that leads directly to the outdoor balcony. Located on the second level is an additional queen bedroom and bunk room with two twin over twin bunk beds. Both bedrooms have a flat screen HDTV. Enjoy the family room with a sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress. The Family Room can be converted to a 6th bedroom with double bed foldout. The first floor offers a queen guest bedroom with flat screen TV and full size bath. Enjoy access to the elevator and 2 car garage. The shared pool and beach walkover is literally right next to the expansive backyard. A major decision each day could be whether to enjoy the sun at the beach or pool side. And when it's time to go dining; shopping; or enjoying the nightlife; Port A is close by. Ahhh ... life in paradise is good! Excellent Getaway For My Girlfriends 40th Birthday
This was the perfect venue to host my Girlfriends 40th Birthday Party. I hired a local chef to prepare our dinner and invited a few close family members participate. We all had a lovely time. The Beach house was beautiful. Three spacious floors of rooms and seating areas. Enough room to accommodated us and the few family members who may have been a little to intoxicated to drive back to San Antonio after the party. It rained the whole weekend we were there, but the views from the balconies of the beach house were excellent, so we didn't mind the rain so much. I also appreciated the elevator, because having to haul all our stuff up two and three flights of stairs would have been a pain. All-in-all I loved it. Pricey, but worth it.

Guest Survey
Overall the Blue Pearl was great; however, there were a couple of issues that we experienced. First, it appears that the bedsheets were not changed prior to arrival. We felt sand in the bedsheets on two or three of the beds and had to dust off the sheets. The handle on the kitchen microwave was broken. On the deck of the second level, two of the chairs did not have cushions. I don't know if you manage the community pool, but it was dirty the whole time we were there. We were there from Monday through Saturday morning and the pool was not cleaned until Friday afternoon.

A Good Spot
Blue Pearl is in a great location, right by the walkway to the beach. That was important because the beach at the area is very sandy compared to other years, not packed down, so driving without a 4- wheel vehicle risky to get stuck. However, of course, we set up our tents and had a great time. Also there is a lot of seaweed drifting in from Gulf at this time close to the shore to be aware of. The house is very nice and roomy. We spread all ten of us out in different rooms, relaxed, and enjoyed the waves. Upstairs deck was great, we had singing fests, until the neighbors complained they didn't like our music. (I guess I will now have to take singing lessons)! The only problems we had at the house was we couldn"t find any bed linens for the extra couches and some beds were lumpy. All in all, this is a good place, in a nice quiet location, fit for fun and enjoyment!

Sad Blue Pearl
Our large family had been wanting to rent The Blue Pearl for years and we were excited to have it this year! The floor plan was perfect for us and we loved the close proximity of the cart accessible boardwalk, beach and community pool. The view was great and the large balcony had ample comfortable furniture. Outdoor shower was nice for the kids. But sadly can only give a 3 star rating from the lack of or terrible condition of amenities. We walked in to the living area and there were dying winged Ants all over the floor that had to be swept up. The air conditioner was not working properly and it was 79-80 degrees inside. We did call after hours maintenance and they promptly fixed the problem. I tried to keep the floors swept up each day but the brooms were so old and terrible that even that minor chore was difficult. All the non stick pans had the coating scratched off and there was no sponge or scrubber to clean dishes. We had 2 dishwasher pods for 4 nights and only 8 bath towels all of us! I had to call Silversands for more towels and we had to drive to the office in Port A to get them. There was ample toilet paper but only one roll of paper towels and NO replacement trash bags and a broken hand crank can opener so we had to go buy all these items. Light bulbs were burned out in the downstairs bath, kitchen pendants and dining chandeliers. Kitchen cabinet door was hanging on one hinge. We were so surprised that this expensive and beautiful house was had such a shabby kitchen. Sadly, won't be coming back to this one!

it was a nice house but the furniture is in pretty rough shape as well as lots of bulbs being out and just things here and there that for the price should be taken care of.
