The worst aspect was the checkin process. I had an early flight to Panama City. I took an Uber to the condo. When I arrived, I requested a place to store the luggage so I could explore the area. I was told No they could not accommodate my request but I could pay $65 for early check in at 1:00. I asked if the room was ready and was told it was clean but not inspected. I was told I would receive a text when I could go to the room. I sat with my luggage outside the condo waiting. I checked back after 1:00 and was told it still had not been inspected yet and there was nothing they could do to expedite the process. By then I was very upset and could not understand why they would not try to help. I do not think it would have cost anything to allow me store my luggage in a closet in the condo. I told them the customer service was nonexistent. The reply was I am sorry the result wasn’t what you would have liked. This just made me angrier. Good customer service is meeting the customer’s expectations not telling them they wanted too much! At 4:20, I still had not received a text. I called and was told I could have accessed the condo at 4:00. She said I already had the code. I told her I did not have a key code. She said Oh, we have been experiencing problems with the automatic texts with key codes. The entire process and lack of service was ridiculous and I would never book a condo managed by Benchmark.The room was not dirty but not very clean—sand on floor,mold on shower curtain, etc.
