Clad in Montana moss rock stone, corral board & grey cedar siding, the exterior entry to this rustic modern ski in ski out home, is inviting and a perfect compliment to its Montana setting. Through the entryway, there is a mudroom with 3 ski lockers for clothes and gear along with 2 larger lockers for ski and board storage.  Heated floors in the mudroom are a welcome amenity to warm up cold feet after a day of play in the snow. There is a wall-mounted 8 pair boot dryer for gloves and boots to keep everyone comfortably outfitted for the next slope side adventure.  Adjacent to the ski locker area is a dual stackable set up for laundry, streamlining the everyday tasks so you can spend more time enjoying your Montana adventure.   Off the main entry hall, there is also a stunning powder room with beautiful design elements - a wall mounted toilet, custom concrete floating sink & luxurious gunmetal wall mounted sink faucet.

The home’s great room is framed with 8’ windows and doors that provide panoramic views of Whitefish Lake and the surrounding mountains. With walls clad in douglas fur & reclaimed European white pine flooring, the open concept great room is an awe-inspiring gathering place for the home. The fully equipped kitchen offers high end appliances - such a 48” range with induction cook top, dual 30” Fisher and Paykel refrigerator/freezers that convert from freezer to refrigeration as needed, Miele dishwasher, and Sharp microwave drawer.  The spacious island has beautiful leather and steel barstools with seating for 5.

The living area beyond the kitchen offers an incredible tunnel gas fireplace that opens to the dining room adjacent to the living area.  There is a 65” television above the fireplace for family movie night or game day.  The living area furnishings were selected for comfort and good conversational seating; they include a pair of 90” wide down filled boucle sofas, & a pair of leather and steel lounge chairs with a leather ottoman.  The bi-fold doors of the great room bring the beauty of the Montana outdoors within, featuring a 20’ opening that create an ideal indoor outdoor living space with access to the exterior porch.  The porch is furnished with an oversized sectional and lounge chairs, placed around a natural gas fire table. The electric heaters in the ceiling above extend comfortable use of the porch into the colder months.  The porch also offers access to a built-in gas grill. Dine al fresco at the round exterior dining tables, with plenty of seating for the whole group.

Artfully designed bent metal stairs lead up to the loft overlooking the great room.  A bench with storage for bedding for the daybed in the loft above and a small coat closet are strategically nestled under the loft stairs.  The loft is complete with steel and glass railings to allow for stunning views of Whitefish Lake. The loft is furnished with a day bed covered in indoor/outdoor velvet, complete with pull out trundle for sleeping or curling up with a book and relaxing.

Adjacent to the great room is the home’s dining area with seating for 10. The dining area is furnished with wood slab and steel dining table, surrounded by all leather chairs, complete with tunnel fireplace and gorgeous views from every angle.  Alongside the dining room is a wet bar with window seat swivel chairs and cocktail tables for the perfect conversational, cocktail hour seating.

On the main level of the home, the master bedroom is complete with a king size bed, a 3 sided glass and steel fireplace & a sofa at the end of the bed, perfect for morning coffee or evening reading. The room is framed by a large window with spectacular views of Whitefish Lake and the surrounding mountains. The master ensuite is a study in luxury with beautiful materials & luxury fixtures - including unlacquered brass fixtures, 66” wide soaking tub, heated floors & steam shower with dual shower heads and long bench for relaxing in the steam. The steam shower is perfect after a long day of hiking, skiing, fly fishing or biking.  Also included in the space is here is a seated makeup area and generous master closet.

The lower level of the home offers additional living and sleeping space, featuring a game room with a pool table, game table, & counter top with bar stools.  There is a wet bar with under-counter refrigerator, ice maker & drawer dishwasher. A boucle sectional sofa and leather swivel chair are arranged around a gas fireplace and 55” TV. Adjacent to the game room is a private office with metal and glass doors, complete with a desk & queen pullout couch. Off of the game room there is a second covered porch featuring a private luxurious hot tub, a pair of chaise lounge chairs &  lounge chairs, complete with ceiling-mounted electric heaters for extended use of the porch.  There is also a gas fire pit at back of the house, complete with 6 Adirondack chairs, perfect for viewing the beautiful sunsets over the lake, valley & surrounding mountains.

Guest Suite 1 offers two queen steel canopy beds, with velvet upholstered head boards and a private 50” television. A vestibule hallway with a dresser leads to an ensuite with a shower, double vanity & luxurious polished nickel modern bath fixtures and a separate water closet for privacy. Heated floors are an added touch for comfort during the colder months.

Guest suite 2 offers a fully upholstered king size bed, a dresser for clothes storage, a chair for reading or relaxing, and a private 50” television.  The ensuite bathroom is complete with shower, double vessel sinks & luxurious modern matte black bath fixtures.

The bunk room offers two twin over twin rustic wood bunkbeds with storage drawers below, desk area with seating & a wardrobe for clothes storage. Just outside the bunk room is a full bathroom with separate washroom, trough sink & tub/shower combination.

With the Elk Highlands private community chairlift just steps from the home, you can enjoy quick access to the award winning slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort. *Please note: this ski lift operation is snow dependent; since it’s at a slightly lower elevation, it starts spinning a couple weeks after the resort opens for the season and stops spinning a couple weeks early. The fun doesn’t stop in the summer months - from treetop rope courses to mountain biking & riding the alpine sleds, the mountain is active year-round!
