Fisheating Bay is a quiet mobile home community of less than 70 properties. We are not far from Moore Haven (Love's/Arby's), Dollar General, Circle K and an easy drive to Buckhead Ridge, Seminole Brighton Casino, Okeechobee (Music Fest) or Clewiston. Best of all, on-site access to Lake Okeechobee via Fisheating Creek with a fish cleaning station for community use. Enjoy the world's best bass fishing or a quiet, relaxing getaway. Easy drive to either coast for a beach day or airport access.
The SPACE:
Cozy 1 BD/1BA "tiny house" with updated flooring, backsplash, wallpaper and amenities. The unit itself is 400 SF, with another 400 SF of enclosed screened in porch with ceiling fan, dining area and seating. Parking on both ends of unit. All appliances (gas stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher) with utensils, pots/pans and dishes are available for guests' use.
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have access to the entire property, with parking spots in the front and rear. Access to community pool just across the street.
OTHER THINGS to NOTE:
The community residents are mostly retiree (55+). This is a very peaceful environment, which add to its charm and feeling of relaxation. As such, no parties, loud music or noisy pets.
The Area:
The community sits on a canal and there is a boat ramp and fish cleaning station for community use at the end of our street. Although there is lake access it is a little circuitous. Most people take their boats 4 miles down 78 to Harney Pond, where there is a big boat launch with docks. Harney is just opposite Reservation Road. There is Beck’s convenience store (with fishing supplies) at that corner, along with the Duck Pub (good food and dive bar) as well as the best BBQ food truck on the weekends — Essie Mae’s Old South BBQ at the corner of 78 and 721. We are also close to a Dollar General!
