Welcome (back) to The Fern Pod! A new, modern tiny home in the woods, only 3hrs from the GWB. We offer all of the amenities you are used to from home; hot water, flushing toilet, WIFI, and we even offer level 2 EV fast charging. Enjoy this cozy and romantic getaway tucked between tall trees and surrounded by ferns on 4 private acres. Get away from the busy city life and watch the world go by through the enormous bed side window, or star gaze just before you fall asleep.

THE SPACE:
The Fern Pod is located on 4 acres and surrounded by trees, wild flowers, and much more. The last half mile to the property is on an unpaved road, but don't worry, you don't need any special vehicle to get there. The sleeping area consists of a queen size mattress next to a giant picture window, and a mounted TV. We have a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with a large fridge/freezer, a two burner induction cook top, a toaster, and a stainless steel sink. Our coffee bar offers you the perfect start into the day. Furthermore, we provide you with all types of utensils and cookware, in addition to essentials such as oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Lastly, your bathroom is outfitted with a standing shower, sink, and a flushing toilet. You will be provided with complimentary mini toiletries during your stay.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
- The WIFI speed fluctuates, but is usually around 130Mbps Down/15Mbps Up. That's more than enough to stream movies, watch YouTube, or send emails.
- We offer free EV fast charging. Please make sure you bring your car's specific charger! We ONLY provide the 4-prong Nema 14-50 plug with 240V/50A, not the charger itself since they differ based on car brand.
- Please note, phone service on the property is limited.
- The tiny home is located on an unpaved road. However, no special vehicle is needed to access the property.
- Every stay comes with a complimentary bundle of firewood. Additional bundles can be purchased on the property.
- We provide complimentary Netflix, but other streaming services are available on the smart TV. You will have to use your own account to log into those.
- We have a little store inside the home where we display handmade items that are made by your hosts.
- There is no hunting, no shooting, smoking, or pets allowed. Violating these rules will incur a $250 cleaning fee. There is an outdoor security camera facing the driveway/firewood.
- There is a security camera on the outside, facing the driveway and firewood. No other cameras are on the premises.

Anniversary Weekend

My husband and I visited The Fern Pod for our 39th anniversary and were very satisfied with our accommodations. We had a pleasant surprise of chocolates and cheesecake waiting for us. Even with rain, we enjoyed our time here and would return in the future.

Relaxing Stay

We reserved the Fern Pod to attend the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The drive each way was beautiful and peaceful. The Ferm Pod was a nice respite. We contended with crowds during the day and came back to the peace of nature sounds. Nice getaway in the Catskills.

Simple and charming

This tiny house is TINY. Like two people max could stay here, and no more. But it has been well-designed to maximize both use of space and comfort. It smells new inside, is very clean, and has a Scandinavian type of aesthetic with light colored wood, thoughtfully constructed shelves, lighting and other essentials. There’s no couch but you really don’t need one. The TV is at the foot of the comfy bed, and a giant picture window is next to you to be able to look out onto the scenery. Cute and romantic. The lot is also pretty, lots of wildflowers, and the fire pit setup is great. Just a few very tiny complaints: I wish some more effort was put into cutting paths through the overgrown weeds, particularly to the hammock or maybe to the back of the property to have a look around. Also I wish the tiny house has a microwave and a more “normal” coffee maker. The espresso maker was kind of wonky for us. Otherwise thought it was a lovely getaway.
