Welcome to Sunset Ridge Cabin! If you are looking for a peaceful getaway with the family, this cabin is for you! Enjoy the long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from one of two covered, wrap-around decks. The cabin is located in a quiet, gated community with direct access to the New River. Perfect for the family who loves fishing, kayaking, and tubing!

With 3 levels of living area, each floor is equipped with its own bedroom, bathroom, and living area so there is plenty of room to stretch out.

The main living area has a beautiful stone, wood-burning fireplace as well as a fully equipped kitchen with all new utensils, pots, and pans. We have a 50in Samsung Smart TV to be enjoyed from a leather sofa, loveseat, or recliner. Please note that we do not have cable or satellite, however, you do have access to Samsung Smart TV which has many of the same options as cable, as well as the ability to log in to your own streaming service of choice.
The upstairs has a very secluded bedroom and full bathroom with a queen size bed and room-darkening curtains. The loft area includes a queen size futon and gliding chair perfect for enjoying the mountain views.
Downstairs really has it all! Located in the "game room" we have a pool table, Samsung Smart TV, as well as a fireplace with gas logs. Downstairs we also have a full bedroom and bathroom, as well as a washer and dryer.
Outside we have two levels of connected and covered wrap-around decks. Upstairs we have rocking chairs, a hammock, a gas firepit and a grill. Downstairs we have Adirondack chairs and hammock swings. In the backyard we have a fire pit and Adirondack chairs.

Please keep in mind that we are in a quiet, gated community with full-time residents as well as vacation renters. We have a large backyard to enjoy but please respect adjoining private property and only enjoy our property unless it is an otherwise noted common area within the neighborhood.

Please make sure all guest cars are parked in the driveway. We ask there be a max of 4 cars per stay. Please contact us should you require more space than the driveway accommodates.

We can accommodate a max of 8 guests.

Located in the gated community of River Country Estates which is a quiet, family-friendly Mountain retreat. Easy access to the New River either driving or walking (about half a mile down the road). Have fun playing, kayaking, tubing, or fishing in the New River. There is a designated Common Area for community access to the New River. The drive into the cabin is all via paved roads- no need for a four-wheel drive vehicle. Be prepared for spectacular mountain views driving onto the property, from two large private decks, and throughout the community.

The cabin is close to the New River, West Jefferson's downtown area, the arts district, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian State University, and Ski Attractions. Drive (~30 minutes) to Wal-Mart, Ingles Grocery Store in West Jefferson, gas stations, and many local restaurants. April - October enjoy local Farmer's Markets and craft fairs in both Sparta and West Jefferson.
