You are renting a converted garage apartment.

Are you looking for a bungalow super close to the beach at a bargain price?  Tucked into a small family friendly street with very few renters, you can walk a short, easy three blocks to beach access. Our clean, cute, dry and comfy efficiency is just what you need to nestle in.  A laundromat is nearby, and the famous Kure Beach Pier is less than a mile way with Big Daddy's Seafood, Ocean View Grill, and Jack Mackerels. If you need a rainy day diversion, head to the Aquarium only 2 miles south. Take a Ferry Ride from there to Southport, NC for a stroll through the cutest seaside town ever with lots of shopping and restaurant options.  You will be on a safe and tidy family neighborhood street. Our efficiency has its own self-controlled central heating and cooling. 2 cozy bedrooms, each with a Queen Bed, a full bathroom and a Small Living Room where you can curl up and watch your own Roku apps on our big screen TV. 

Free Wifi is provided.
This efficiency has no laundry services and no formal kitchen.
Bathroom with bathtub/shower, toilet, and single vanity. The bathroom also contains a coffee bar with microwave and mini fridge.
Private Outdoor Hot Water Shower, also used by upstairs traveler.
Partially fenced back yard. Shared propane grill and picnic table.

Parking:
Two small vehicles or one large SUV allowed, park tandem, in grass drive pavers alongside fence. Do not block the upstairs guest driveway.

Rental Policies:

In response to increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Rental Periods:
*In Season weekly rentals are from Sat - Sat. (June - August) 
*Off Season monthly rentals (mid-Sept. – mid-May)

Arrival & Departure:
In season (June-August)
*Check-in: 4:00-6:00PM
Off season (Sept.-May)
*Check-in: 3:00-5:00PM.
*Check out: Before 10:00AM.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

*Property does not have an elevator.

Guest Access
*Hard Key. You will need to stop by our office when you get on the island to pick up your key.

House Rules:
Absolutely no events such as weddings, sororities, fraternities, bachelor or bachelorette parties etc.
NO Smoking inside, outside or in common areas downstairs.
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Things to bring:
**Paper towels and toilet tissue, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies and beach towels.

Pets Allowed - Up to 2 under 100 pound Dogs Only. Rent includes one Pet Fee. If the owner allows more than one dog, and you are planning to bring any additional pets, there will be an additional fee of $100 collected per subsequent dog. Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet-friendly, but you must follow guidelines. Please check the town website for beach pet restrictions.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re rented. If premises are re rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off- season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.
