This 2000-square-foot, 3-Bed 2-Bath home is the perfect retreat from your busy mainland lifestyle, with its vaulted ceilings, tropical island-style furnishings, fully-equipped kitchen, large laundry room, recessed lighting and skylights throughout, private enclosed front courtyard, and backyard LANAI complete with lounge chairs, gas GRILL, hibiscus, and swaying palm trees.
Sliding glass doors from the guest bedrooms and dining room open onto the front courtyard, while the living room and master bedroom invite you to step out into the peaceful backyard and sheltered lanai. Step down into the warm, relaxing, sunken tub in the master bedroom suite. There are extra linens and beach towels.
Located on a cul-de-sac in Poipu Kai Resort next to the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort, Shipwreck Beach is just a short, 3 MINUTE WALK to the east via greenbelt pathways. We love both of your houses. This house is particulary great for a large family gathering. We had a family wedding in Kauaii where we blended 3 families with no issues. The great layout which features two master bedrooms with private bathrooms, makes it quite convenient for families to share the residence. There is also another bedroom and shared bathroom off the living area. The bedroom layouts - different bed sizes - makes it easy to mix various family members in one house. The open kitchen, dining and living room area opens up to the front and back patio settings. The green belt off the back patio makes it extra convenient to walk/drive to the beach, pool, and local restaurants/hotels. Young children love playing in the grassy greenbelt. The owners of this house are very helpful. We had some last minute predicaments with wedding arrangements and the owner was most helpful in connecting us with great local businesses that could help us out. The pricing of this house is very reasonable compared to other places in the area. The house is very clean and kept up nicely. It comes with all those extras one doesn't think of - towels, beach accessories, toys for kids, washer/dryer, multiple TV's, network connections, and comfortable furniture. I highly recommend this house as it is situated in a great location.

Great South Kauai house!
The house is well situated, near some of the best snorkeling beaches of Kauai. We were a group of eight and never felt on top of each other. It has a nice private courtyard. I would recommend this house. It is close to Kaloa where there's a good size supermarket, for all your needs. The owner is very nice and easy to reach, with any questions you may have. We had a wonderful vacation!

Our stay in Kauai for our son's wedding was made even more special because of renting this house. We were able to have family dinners with our new extended family in a clean, comfortable and inviting home. The outside grill and table were greatly appreciated and everything worked out perfectly. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable and more than we expected. The trade winds were wonderful and created a fabulous breeze throughout the house. The living room was a great room! The fans in all the bedrooms and living room were more than enough to keep the temperate comfortable for everyone. Sonya was great to work with to book and pay for the rental. I would love to return to the same house. Walking distance from several beaches and use of the surrounding pools was very convenient. Great house, excellent price for all the amenities and great location!!

Comfortable, cozy and convenient
Just stayed here for a week in this cozy home. We could have stayed another week. House has has a nice layout for two families and was centrally located. There is a great ceiling fan in living room and all bedrooms which was a nice touch. This made sleeping for us and the kids comfortable. When we opened all the windows a nice breeze would flow through the house. Our kids loved all the beach toys and wagon. We will be back soon!

Beautiful Getaway
We came to Poipu for a wedding and didn't want to stay in the resort where everyone was at but we needed to be close to them. I found this house on VRBO and it was perfect for us 6 adults. The layout of the house is great. Walk 5 minutes to shipwreck beach or 10 minutes to Poipu beach. From Shipwreck you can walk the Maha'ulepu Trail , we did some of it and it was fun. We went zip lining and mountain tubing, snorkeled at Poipu Beach and up at Tunnels Beach, very good spot! Sonya is very good at answering any questions we had and they give you "Ron & Sonya's Favorite Activities on Kauai" a good guide on what to do. It was also or 30th anniversary so 1 night we splurged and ate at Tide pools! I would stay here again when coming to Kauai. We all had a great time

Wonderful
We had a great time staying at the house. There were 5 of us (3 adults and 2 kids) and there was plenty of space for all of us. The back patio became our home for the week. We loved being able to walk to so many fabulous spots - greenbelt from shipwreck beach and the trail to male - whoosiwhatitz, hyatt?, poipu beach. Nice beach toys for us to use. Nice kitchen and grill and washer dryer. We miss it!! Sonya was very attentive and we look forward to staying in her home again.
