Our group of 9 friends overall enjoyed our stay here, the property is spacious and cozy and in a nice neighborhood for skiing at heavenly. Only 1 bathroom downstairs when there are 3 bedrooms was a negative.
The start of our trip was soured however by poor and rude communication from the host as well as (as we had to discover ourselves), a broken hot tub. The check-in process is pretty old school. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a fairly rude host who tried to chastise me repeatedly for missing earlier calls & voicemail. Overall tone was very aggressive/rude and was pretty shocking to arrive to.
After the host left, I did the first thing I always do and immediately check the hot tub to make sure it was clean and hot. The location of the hot tub itself isn't great. As I checked, my heart sank -- it was very cold. When a whole group of people fly from across the country for a ski cabin weekend, the first thing you want to do is have a working hot tub. I hoped that this was just inconsiderate hosts by not ensuring the hot tub was turned on and hot for our arrival, and I set it to 104. I tried contacting the host, but no response. The next morning it was still cold. What followed was an extremely frustrating day trying to get into contact with the host to get it fixed. After long delays they finally acknowledged it was broken. There was no apology about it at all and they only said "at least your lights working and you have heat".
We would never rent from these hosts again.
