An Unforgettable Coastal Getaway!Rating: (5/5 stars)We planned this coastal getaway specifically for a marine wildlife and scenic adventure—with the primary highlights being whale watching excursions and exploring the area's incredible sights.We stayed at the Shorebirds complex in Pajaro Dunes (Watsonville), which was in a fantastic, peaceful location and actually very close to Moss Landing—the exact spot where we headed out for our whale watching tours! We were only there for a couple of nights, but it served as the absolute home base for our trip. One day we also drove down to Monterey Bay to visit the aquarium, do some shopping, and check out a really cool mirror maze that we stumbled upon and would definitely recommend. The Condo wasexceptionally clean, and great space overall. Master room bed— was so so comfortable that I actually woke up in the morning before my alarm went off and was ready to go, rather than hitting snooze three or four times! Its been a long time since I have rested so well. Coming back to such a relaxing, cozy space after long days out on the water was a game-changer. The host,.Matwas also very responsive with any questions that I had and provided fantastic information on local restaurants.

Gated location is close to premium beach with excellent access. Condo is clean and inviting, and is setup well for adults and children. Hosts are helpful and amenable.

Great comfy place. Super clean and beautiful view of the beach for a bottom unit. Super quiet and beautiful place. Great communication and flexibility from the owners. A must stay at Pajaro Dunes! Loved it and will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful place for our family of five! It was clean, well stocked, and gorgeous. We loved waking up every morning to the coast and the fireplace.

You honestly can’t beat the location for the price. Direct access to a private beach was awesome. The beds were awful, you could feel every spring and some upgraded sheets that don’t feel like paper would help with the experience. Also the oven has to be from the 70s when the place was built and one of the burners is broken. Just some basic things that would improve the experience and make you feel good about spending the money

Rented for my daughter's college graduation at nearby college. Perfect location, enjoyed walking on the beach nightly since it is just steps from the front door. Enjoyed listening to the waves crashing at night. Everyone in my family loved staying at the Pajaro Resort and talked about booking another trip before summer ends.

This was our first Vrbo experience and honestly it set the bar impossibly high. From the moment we walked in, it felt more like home than our actual home, cozy, immaculately clean, and so peaceful. Everything worked perfectly, not a single hiccup the entire stay. The beach was beautiful and the wildlife around the property was something else, the kind of thing you don’t forget. My family and I are already talking about coming back. If you’re on the fence, don’t be, just book it.

Check-in was super easy and host was always receptive to messages. Was a little disappointed that you can’t see the beach from the house (suppose to be beach front) and not enough space for everyone to sit in the living room.

Perfect location for our girl get away! Loved the uncrowded beach and super quiet condo. Really close access to the beach and just a short drive to Apros, Capitola, and Santa Cruz! As mentioned in other reviews, the shower can be difficult to access if you have limited mobility. Really enjoyed using the pickleball courts. The carts available to load your stuff in and out was awesome! Host was super responsive, friendly and helpful!! Thanks for a super relaxing week!

The condo was super comfortable and incredibly easy to get to the beach. The beds were clean and my kids said “best sleep of their lives.” Absolutely loved hearing the ocean waves while we slept! Plan on staying again!

The hosts gave us all the information we needed to check in easily. They checked on us twice while we were there. The beach below the unit was expansive and uncrowded. Also, there was very easy access to the beach and close by. The stove in the unit was older and had a broken burner. Otherwise, the kitchen was well stocked. The showers in both bathrooms might be difficult for elderly people to get into as the floors of both were about 12 inches off the floor. The hosts did provide step stools in both bathrooms to help make the step easier. The hosts also provided books for kids and a few games to play. There was even a nightlight in the "kids" room and a closet full of beach chairs, sand toys, and a kite for family fun.

This condo is well equipped, and well located for several adventures, including on the beach, pinnacles national Park, the Monterey aquarium, and the rest of the Bay Area has to offer.
