Great Get A Way

Magical Stay

My husband and I came back for our first wedding anniversary after staying in a different condo for our honeymoon. We spent many afternoons at the beach and reading by the pool. The beach here is top notch with hundreds of turtle sightings and even a Hawaiian Monk Seal near the southern rocks. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed including beach towels, a cooler chest, and beach chairs. The view from the lanai was stellar and we felt very private and quiet and peaceful. We will continue to come back to this condo for future vacations, it is too perfect to ever want to go anywhere else.

Mary's Hale is a so Joyful!

my first solo trip

I couldn't have asked for any more out of a place to stay. I had everything i could possibly need. The only feedback I would give is that if check out time is 11:00, then I should have been able to leave the airport to come check in by 2:30. I had to stay at the airport for 2 hours because management had a list of reasons why they couldn't make exceptions. Inspection blah blah blah... turns out that the manager that greeted me said it wasn't even inspected and did I want her to do a walk through. I declined. I called before I came to Maui to discuss my plane arrival and after my plane landed. Looks like to me someone could have gone out of their way to help me get in sooner. Other than that.. everything was perfect!!!!

Great experience!

This was a great place to stay and excellent location for our itinerary. The complex is quiet and safe and includes a convenient beach from where to watch sunsets. Walkable to basic needs like a grocery store/bars/restaurants. Kitchen is well stocked and property is clean. In a very drivable location as well and a short drive to the airport. Was a perfect spot for us for our time on Maui! Would stay there again!!

The Good the Bad & The Ugly

Nice Property. But we were not Told that construction would be going on Right Beneath our unit. With Horrendous Drilling noises going on Everyday. I Want half my money back

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I wish I had asked a few more questions before we booked. No in unit laundry, you had to go to coin operated machines on the property. Also, no hot tub with the pool. Not a new, fancy resort and not in the best neighborhood. Unit very clean and unit and property well maintained. Unit advertised as "ocean front" but only a view. Expected to be able to see whales from the lanai but could not.

First time to Hawaii

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and relatively central location for all of our activities. There was ample space and storage for the two of use. The laundry facility was helpful because we could reduce the amount of clothing.

Beautiful unit in a quiet, well maintained small condo association. Lovely pool and in front of the beach. Beautiful sunsets and great location. Only complaint is the kids can’t jump in the pool, it’s a safety tool, which was disappointing for our young kids.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very disappointed in our rental unit, Waiohuli Beach Hale #B-205. The unit definitely needed a deep cleaning. Floors, baseboards, and corners were filthy. Three of the throw rugs were very visibly soiled, but I fortunately found clean (though in poor condition) rugs in a closet. The towels were brand new, never washed, and unusable for drying just sticky new. . The new kitchen appliances were very nice, but there was not one frying pan that was not totally worn out. It was impossible to cook in them. Directions were given to use only butter or olive oil in pans, but none was provided. Only one set of King bed linens provided for our 12 day stay. We opened and used some new ones and I marked them with the unit # myself for the owner, as she requested. The swivel rocker tipped forward dangerously upon getting out of it, and the foot stool tipped over multiple times, dangerously. The furniture and pillows needed cleaning. I could go on, but the unit needed a deep cleaning and all fry pans needed replacement. I had to clean all the spice jars, though it was nice to have them provided. We owned a condo on Kauai for 22 years snd our management company never let our unit or any of theirs become so fun down and dirty. The swimming pool was a delight, however. The manager did an excellent job of keeping the pool and grounds clean and in good condition. Our kudos for him.

Lovely Condo

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Mary's Hale in Waiohuli! The condo was lovely with beautiful views and a quick walk to the beach! There are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. It was the perfect little beach haven that we needed so we could get some R&R! Thank you!

Excited and disappointed

We enjoyed the convenience of being close to the beach, restaurants and market. The condo was well appointed with everything you needed. The one disappointing problem we had was the bed, Al though comfortable it had an stale urine odor on the side closest to the closet. We pulled up the sheets and the disgusting old stained mattress pads were the harborers of the smell. The mattress, is interesting. Never seen a bed like that and we’ve stayed in many places. It’s not a mattress but a 2 foam foundation with a 3” foam topper. The Rental agency was prompt and efficient in regards to steam cleaning the foam topper and replacing mattress pads and sheets. For the amount we paid to stay there, it’s a shame we had to deal with the bed issue.

Birthday trip

We found this great place on line and it was perfect for a couple of old friends. Celebrated a 65th birthday while there. Beautiful grounds, very clean condos and pool. Great beach and there’s always a nice breeze. Had a wonderful time. We’ll come back for another visit someday.

Best pool and views

Great property, home was tidy and well stocked, the best pool we’ve encountered in Maui as it truly is massive, wonderful beach, perfect location for easy access to all areas of Maui!

Great Location

Would highly recommend. The unit is located on a nice beach; grocery store next door; good restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. The unit was very well equipt-fully furnished kitchen, has 2 beach chairs, beach towels. No laundry in the unit but downstairs in the building.

It was helpful that the kitchen had essentials that others had left behind such as oil and spices. Have been to places where there wasn’t even a small bar of soap in the restroom. The bed was comfortable but the TV in the bedroom was too small and didn’t work well”. As well it was noisy in the bedroom from window air conditioners in the units below and loud neighbors. However this was a minor inconvenience.
