Really needs AIR Conditioning besides small window unit in 1 bedroom!! a few roaches and small ants roaming around, close to the beach and decent view. on a scale of 1-10 we would give it a 4.

Beautiful older home just steps from the beach. There is no central AC, but with the windows and doors open, no problem. There is a window AC in the upstairs bedroom which kept the room nice and cool. There were 3 of us and we had plenty of room and no complaints. Activities nearby kept us busy but with time to still enjoy the beach. Much better than any hotel.

Great location with beautiful views from the lanai. The beach is beautiful and not crowded at all. Kitchen is well stocked. Host is quick to respond with any questions or concerns.

Could not imagine a more perfect house to experience the quieter, more peaceful side of Oahu, Hawaii. Absolute paradise, gorgeous beach and felt like home as soon as we walked through the door.

Beautiful location with well stocked kitchen. The house only has one bedroom with air conditioning which made for some hot nights Overall a great place Biggest issue was the dryer was not working which we were not aware of until we washed clothes so with a full house of people it was hard to dry towels and clothes. Management sent a drying rack and we borrowed some rope to hang things out however the towels were horrible this way.

Overall, a great stay! The house is spacious and has fun decor (the downstairs bathroom's porthole window was a favorite), and the location is PERFECT for relaxing on the beach as it really is steps from the sand. Shout out to the outdoor shower and its hot water as well! There were plenty of towels, kitchenware items, etc., and the living room ottoman's games/toys/book collection was a nice touch. The back porch was also perfect for enjoying the sunrise or sunset with a coffee or cocktail. Only caveat to consider (which is common across all rentals! but just be aware) is that the rooms downstairs get a little warm at night, even with windows open for the tradewinds. If you sleep hot like my husband and I, I would say AC units would be a nice touch, but again, the tradewinds do a decent job. The house was a perfect fit for our family (6 adults, 1 little one), and we'd happily stay there again!

Perfect for our family vacation! It is a very lovely historic home with all of the amenities needed. Even had a nice blender for smoothies! The proximity to the beach with the private backyard was wonderful. The vibe in Kailua was also the perfect spot for our family. Crystal was so communicative and quick to respond. We had a plumber come in while we were there to fix the shower and everything was communicated perfectly and we were able to work around the work. Would absolutely go back! Thank you.

The pictures of the house do not do it justice. The property is beautiful and clean. The location could not be more perfect. It was a great set up for a family or two couples with kids. We will 100% be booking this property for all of our Oahu travels.

Inside overall was nice and well maintained considering it's an historic property. Lack of air conditioning does take some getting used to but primary bedroom a/c made that room very comfortable. Kitchenware was clean and more than adequate for simple, fun meals on the 2nd floor lanai looking out to the ocean. Beds were very comfortable (real mattresses) for a great night's sleep. Beach chairs, umbrella, etc, made beach trips a breeze. Grounds and neighborhood, as well as proximity to beach were excellent. Mahalo!

After a few days of a non-stop family reunion around Waikiki, staying in Kailua was another world. The neighborhood is so peaceful and the beach is so beautiful. We were thinking things like, oh the sand is a bit too soft and the water a little too warm. The house is homey and comfortable, the location is super convenient. It really is just steps to the beach. Crystal makes everything easy, and is always available to answer questions. We were there during a tsunami evacuation and she checked in on us to make sure we were aware and were ok.It’s the perfect spot for a family with kids.

Ohana Reunion

Great location and beautiful beach! Check-in/out were easy and no problems with access to the house. All bedrooms were roomy and nice with lots of bedding. Bathrooms were decent and large. Kitchen, living room, dining area and decking were great. Really appreciated having an outdoor shower with both cold and heated water.Only one bedroom had a window AC, the others only had ceiling fans. If they also had ACs, sleeping conditions would be better. Had to keep the windows fully open to make the ones with only fans more comfortable. Luckily, there usually were constant breezes from the ocean that helped.
