Charming Home with Amazing Views

Really enjoyed having coffee out on deck every morning and the peacefulness of hearing the ocean. Loved the convenience of just walking out our back door down onto the beach. Super nice. This property is very special, and will always be memorable to us. First, the inside of the home is like stepping back a couple decades but in a charming and endearing way! From the original wood paneling, doors, & cabinets, to the subtle nautical/ocean themes in the little details around the house, it really made for a unique “home” feel that was perfect for our small private wedding. Everyone felt so comfortable from the second we arrived. There was ample bedroom, bathroom, and living space for five adults, but I think several more plus children could’ve fit comfortably if necessary. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes/utensils/pans and ready to be used to cook full meals there was coffee, tea, and an excellent dining area with an unbeatable ocean view. Speaking of which, the beach access path was perfect and although older adults may have a bit of trouble with a few of the stairs, the beach was simply amazing. Clean and far from overcrowded, we spent a ton of time exploring for seashells, dipping in the (freezing) water, and simply relaxing on the sand. Overall this property is a 10/10, full stop. It is not the most modern, luxurious, or “perfect” place, but it has a charm like nothing i’ve ever stayed in and we couldn’t stop repeating “it couldn’t have been a more perfect place to get married.”

The cabin had an amazing view of the ocean and great beach access right from the yard. The home itself is older but priced accordingly.

Beautiful View But House Needs Updating

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this house is gorgeous. You can't beat the view! But this house has not been updated since the 1950s. It needs new furniture, carpets, and lighting (so dark in the kitchen and dining areas!). Chairs at dining table are falling apart (wheels fall off). Decks will need replacing very soon. Needs a propane BBQ. It wouldn't take much to update it and make it more new and modern.

Wonderful views, comfortable cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Beachfront Charmer offers splendid ocean views from a comfortable, well-kept home-away-from home. The cabin was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, and the furnishings homey. Our two-week stay featured beautiful days, both sunny and stormy. In the stormy weather the cottage is solid--during a couple of high wind days, we could see the trees bend and the high waves roll in to the shore, but inside the house, the only indication was an occasional bang from the chimney cap. The cabin is at the end of a quiet, narrow street with no traffic noise at all. The beach access was too tricky for us, but we drove a short distance to Tillamook Beach campground and found a way to clamber down there. We agreed that we would stay at the Charmer any time it's open for guests when we are planning a visit to Yachats.

Fantastic stay! This was our third visit to the Beachfront Charmer and I know we’ll be back again! It’s comfortable and has a location that can’t be beat. This year we were whale watching from the house and had such beautiful weather. It feels like our home away from home. Thank you for sharing with us!

The ocean views from the dining area and living room are spectacular and the easy beach access make it 5* in terms of location. The property has more of an older cabin feel and furnishings could use some updating but overall the location made for an excellent stay. We would definitely stay again.

The location was ideal—peaceful, safe, and just a short walk to the beach. Ocean view and quick access

Great home with character and space. Feels very private but only a short drive to the markets and shopping. Has direct access down to the beach which has very little foot traffic. We watched more seals compared to people. Thanks for sharing your home. Highly recommended.

We have been to this house many times before and it is always very comfortable for us. This time we even watched the tv which was easy to manage and much larger than our one at home. The kitchen has good quality pots and pans and everything is in working order.

Beachfront Charmer.....Not so charming

Reviewer Comments: Katy and Peter from Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals are wonderful, and this rental was right on the beach with a great view however the cleaning crew did a terrible job, and we had to clean the oven, toaster, dryer vent and unplug the sink before we could use them, and the BBQ is on its last leg. The fireplace didn't work either. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and adequate for our family. The stairs to the beach are new but the rocks at the bottom were impossible for us elderly people to navigate. It was nice being away from the highway.

Fun with friends

It was time for our annual beach visit with our friends from childhood. The house was just right for us. We enjoyed long beach walks and whale watching right from the yard. We all agreed that we would stay here again.
