I've been using Bookabach and other sites for many years as an owner and traveller.
While the location and convenience of carparking were very good, there were many disappointments. First was the online check detail required by a management group, neither of which is hinted at in the listing and only apparent after payment made. This involves at least 45 minutes of gathering a ridiculous amount of personal identification material to forward to an unknown group. Bookabach VRBO is supposed to be providing owners with vetting guests so why is this layer of information a surprise and necessary?
Actual access went smoothly but a complicated procedure.
The bathroom was clean, but the kitchen counter, microwave and oven were covered in old grime and food.
The air conditioner was necessary but precarious in its Jerry-rigging as was a mass of loose extension cords about the living area.
Email communications were fast and furious with instructions before and during the stay. The management group had to be prompted twice by email 4 days after checkout before any response regarding the deposit refund. Banks were blamed by them but as soon as the email detailing refund was received by me and perhaps funds released, the refund appeared in my bank account. I wonder if I would have seen it if I had not insisted on it?!
I will not be using this site to book any future apartment stays in a city as there is just too much undisclosed in the listing.
