The owners have just completed a full renovation, taken down to the studs and built back up with the sophisticated modern touches that guests expect from a top-notch vacation experience.

Upon arrival, you will notice the stunning picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean direct from your private wrap-around porch, which features latched gates at each stairway to keep your four-legged companions safe and secure. Located at the end of Helga Street, you will also benefit from the public life-guarded beach, literally in the back of the house, to give you extra piece of mind while loved ones enjoy a quick dip in the ocean. Once inside you will certainly note the brand-new furnishings with a hint of mid-century modern aesthetic and the large open concept living, dining, kitchen space will encourage family activities such as cooking or a competitive board game after a long day at the beach. Wow what a view from the house

The house is located right on the beach, with an outstanding view from the living room and the deck. The house was nice and comfortable for 2 adults and a small dog. I think a small family or 2 couples with some kids would be an OK fit. The linens, towels and amenity kit to get you started in the kitchen we all excellent. The house could use some routine maintenance to make it tip top. The drive way need some shoveling to make it easier to park and get up the steps. Saying, that I would love to come back again.

Mor to Sea

My family and I had an amazing stay at this property. The location was amazing! Gorgeous views of the beach. Views are exactly as shown. Home was well maintained. Dishes were very well stocked. I don't know that I have ever seen so many dishes in a vacation rental before. We were easily able to make many meals there with no issues. I was impressed with the toiletries the host provided. There was hotel style pumps on the wall of Shampoo, Shower Gel, and hand soap. They also provided packages of dishwashing tabs, laundry tabs, sponge, salt and pepper, and bottle of olive oil. It was ran very much like a hotel there was not condiments or seasonings to use like you see in some home rentals. Which is fine, nothing against this host for not having or against host that do, only adding that into the review cause I know each home rental is different and it can be tricky knowing what to bring. They did have both a regular coffee pot and a single coffee maker that takes pods. They also provided coffee pods, packets of sugar and creamer. My only suggestion for renters would be to bring more toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. There was only 1 of each thing I believe. Also nothing against the host the house is very well priced and I did not expect them to provide endless amounts of paper products. We brought our own and were very comfortable. Overall house was great! We had a wonderful time there and all said we would have gladly stayed another week.

Great Location right on the beach but….

Location is perfect however, the maintenance and cleanliness of the house is not. Ceiling fans were not fully attached at the ceiling, lots of dirty laundry was left in the laundry room, hand soap dispensers were empty, dirty pillows. We found no cleaning products so had to purchase some to disinfect. The drive way is covered in deep sand and makes you question if you will get stuck. My uncle had to shovel the drive for us to pull in. Under the house walk way to the stairs is also covered in deep sand so if you have mobility issues it would be difficult to navigate. Overall great location just needs some TLC.

Perfect Location For Elderly Parents

I was looking for the perfect little place to take my elderly parents on vacation. The one level living was perfect because they have issues with steps. The ability to allow them to sit out on the wrap around deck and actually see their grand children playing in the ocean and in the waves. The fact they could be part of beach day even though they can not walk to the beach… made this vacation home perfect for my parents. Check in was easy… was in constant contact with rental property company through text. They were very responsive. Only issue with cottage is one gate was broken on the deck. You could still open and close it, but had to lift it to move it.

Spectacular ocean view

We enjoyed the view of the beach from our house and the sound of the ocean at night in the master bedroom. The deck was relaxing at night after a day on the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware for those times we did not go out to eat. The location of this property was ideal for exploring the OBX.
