Palmetto Dunes is the premiere spot for a family vacation. With the FREE Palmetto Dunes Buggy transportation vehicles, you may choose to never use your car while you are here. You can bike for miles on the bike paths that run beneath the canopy of oaks and Spanish moss throughout Palmetto Dunes and Shelter Cove, or take the Dunes Buggy to Shelter Cove or the beach. Palmetto Dunes is also close to a variety of grocery stores including Whole Foods, The Fresh Market, Harris Teeter, Publix and Kroger. You also have every type of restaurant imaginable within minutes of the plantation.

Guests initially enter Ginger Beer Delight by following the sidewalk to the exterior flight of stairs to the front door of the home. On the home's ground floor you will find the living room, dining room, kitchen, master suite, king suite, half bathroom and laundry room. On the second floor you will find the queen suite and twin suite.

NO SMOKING. NO PETS. Tenant must be 25 years old. Reservations made for younger individuals will not be honored without any accompanying adult staying in the home at ALL times. NO PARTIES, EVENTS, PERFORMING ARTISTS OR BANDS ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. You may not exceed the maximum occupancy at any time — day or night. Fireplace is NOT available for guest use. These are causes for eviction with no refund, and may damage our ability to offer the home for future guests exposing you to liability. This is a residential home -- please be respectful of our neighbors.

This home has a free standing pool that is not enclosed by a fence. There is a free standing hot tub in the pool area that requires steps to enter and exit. Pool and hot tub are serviced weekly by a pool service company. They are NOT serviced on every arrival day. Storms and prior guests may mean they are not in pristine condition.

FAMILY TRIP TO GINGER BEER

We had a wonderful stay at Ginger Beer. Palmetto Dunes is a beautiful plantation and would love to go back. The check in process including getting gate pass was very easy and smooth. The home was clean, spacious and really greatly laid out! The house was very comfortable and with working AC for those hot days! The beach was easy enough to drive (min or two drive) to and get a great parking spot. You can also walk to the beach however we had so much to carry! The renter provides a good amount of beach stuff which was so handy and saved us from bringing from back home. One reason I'd take away a star is because I had pre-arranged with the renter that the pool needed to be heated for the duration of our stay and it ended up not being heated until our last day. That being said the renter was very good at responding and sending out companies to check in on the pool. Just not sure why it took till the end of the week to actually heat up, We didn't use as much as we would have liked due to it being very cold. The hot tub also needed attention but was resolved as well. Overall we would loved this property and would consider renting again for our next trip to Hilton Head. Thanks for having us!

Ginger Beer Beauty

Our family enjoyed the location of the house on the island. Near stores, great restaurants and putt putt which my kids loved. The pool and hot tub were used everyday. The iTrip team were quick to respond and alleviate an unexpected issues. Great trip ☺️

Fabulous Stay

We had a fabulous stay at this spacious home over the holidays. Everyone raved about the cleanliness and comfort of the home. We really enjoyed using the Spa on cool days and nights. The rental company was great to work with - all communication was perfect! We plan to come back.

Renter beware

We rented this home for 10 days while we stayed on HHI for a family vacation. Location to the beach, natural lighting and overall layout of the home were great. It was generally very clean upon arrival which is always a welcomed expectation. However, for the nightly price, I had higher expectations in some areas. First of all, several of the electrical sockets are falling out of the walls in the kitchen and main bedroom. The carpet in the main floor bedroom is old, dingy and discolored. Every pillow in all 4 bedrooms (including the extras) were as flat as pancakes. The bedding was your typical beach house style bedding, but the sheets on all beds were again the cheapest and thinnest you could find. The showers in every bathroom had very little water pressure; it was more of a “misting” than a shower. The outdoor shower by the pool was the only actual “shower” with water pressure. Washing hair took FOREVER. The property management company uses the cheapest possible products to give you your basic supplies- toilet paper you can see through, paper towels that melt when they touch liquid, 1 dish cloth and 2 tea towels in the entire house. They do provide small soaps/shampoos similar to a hotel, but again they are dollar general quality or below and likely just refilled from guest to guest. I completely expected/understood that we would be have to bring or buy our own disposable supplies like this, but it was clear that they were trying to save every penny.

The house was as advertised. We had a tremendous vacation with our family. Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Looking forward to coming back next year!
