Wonderful getaway

Our stay was so relaxing in this beautiful setting. The hosts were responsive and went over and above to meet any need we had. The bed was very comfy and the apartment spotless.

Awesome!

This was the best vacation rental! Everything was top quality and comfortable. The owners were the nicest people and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for a fun stay. We enjoyed use of kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe. Both the pool and the lake were wonderful. We were sad to leave this paradise by the lake!

Salve for the Souil

Captain Jack's is the place to go for rest. The comfort of the unit, the beauty of the surroundings, and the relaxation of the water all make for a vacation that is low key and rejuvenating. Mr. Jeff and Miss Elizabeth are authentically kind and sincerely want your stay to the absolute best. They bend over backwards to make sure your needs and request are met and they do it was such graciousness. This property will instantly calm you allowing you to enjoy being away from the stresses of day-to-day life.

Perfect Lakefront Vacation!!

Our week at “Captain Jacks Family Retreat” was well spent, with swimming, boating, and much needed R&R! Our hosts, Jeff and Elizabeth, were more than accommodating, on hand for whatever we needed, yet also giving us our space and privacy. The property was very safe and secure and the apartment was chock full of top of the line appliances and amenities. Not only was it immaculate and comfortable, but provided for lively evenings of game playing or TV watching (flat screen TVs in every room!) In addition to the many perks was a fresh homemade loaf of bread, waiting for us upon our arrival. The heated pool and spa was a daily favorite! There was a lovely view of a cove of Lake Murray, calm and peaceful at times, then fun-filled with boaters and water skiers. We were even treated to an incredible trip on their boat to see the daily flight of thousands of Blue Martins, returning to their roosts on a nearby island. Jeff and Elizabeth are the kindest people and their home provided everything vacationers could want, perfect for families with kids or couples wanting a relaxing getaway. We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely return!
