Come where eagles soar. Relax, unwind and soak up the amazing views of the Olympic Mountain Range, Finlayson Arm and Mt Baker. Take a minute to breath in the nature and beauty of this 21 acre property. Hike or bike the extensive network of trails on the doorstep or relax at the nearby lake. Cozy and relaxing with a private deck to enjoy the stunning views. Newly constructed, boasting fully furnished new furniture and appliances with everything you need to complete your stay. You will enjoy the privacy of the fully furnished suite, yet have the convenience of being able to contact or speak to the owners directly should you need anything. Victoria is easily reachable within a 30 minute drive. We also have an abundance of local produce and places to dine within driving distance. Along with a local cidery and vineyards. Guidebook in the suite with lots of local suggestions of places to explore.

Stunning view

The view from your deck is stunning. During our stay we were lucky enough to see a bear with her cub on the property with another opportunity to see the same mother and cub further down the road. There are quite a few hikes from the property with a lovely lake to visit all within walking distance. The accommodation was very clean with coffee and tea for your use. Emma had made bread and left some local jam for us to try. This all made for a welcoming feel.

We will keep coming back!

My partner and I stayed at Emma and Mark's beautiful retreat last summer and loved it so much that we returned this year! The place has everything we needed, is spacious and comfortable, and let's face it - the view is the draw! We weren't in a rush to leave to do outings and were perfectly happy to sit on the deck or the picnic table to sip wine and savour the pristine surroundings, listening to all the sounds of nature. It is such a relaxing place - very special - and Emma and Mark are such gracious, friendly hosts who are always looking for ways to make their guests as comfortable as possible! We look forward to returning again and again! Thanks so much to Emma and Mark!

Great place

My partner and I really enjoyed staying here. The place is very clean and comfortable. We slept well (unusual for us when we travel so that was a bonus). We did some star-gazing/astral photography - the balcony faces northeast so while the skies aren't completely dark, you can't see the lights from Langford/Victoria. The daytime views are also gorgeous. There's lots of privacy. You can see/hear the highway when you're outside but it's very quiet inside. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay there again.

We are a family of 5, including 3 grown up children who are currently starting to make their own way in the world. We purchased our amazing piece of land in 2021 and had a vision of our dream home that would include a separate suite to share the stunning scenery and views with others.

The views! We are situated overlooking the Finlayson Arm and the whole of the Southern Gulf Islands. Including views of Mount Baker, Victoria, Juan De Fuca strait and the Olympic Mountains in Washington State. Spectacular sunrise and abundance of wildlife. We have often spotted Orcas in the water or relax and watch eagles soar by.
The property is newly constructed and offers comfort, cleanliness and everything you need for your stay.
We take pride in our surroundings and are happy to share local area knowledge with our guests.

Hva gjør dette overnattingsstedet unikt?

Unbeatable views, peace, tranquility and an abundance of wildlife. Easy access to the whole of the Cowichan Valley which is a gem. We have an abundance of fresh local produce and local restaurants within the valley. There's also some local vineyards for tasting sessions or tours. Excellent hiking, biking trails and swimming spots nearby.
