**NEW! Backyard renovation recently completed! Nestled in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina, Serenity lives up to its name: a peaceful, newly restored and refurnished, non-smokers only beach home that is so beautiful and serene, you will want to move in and stay forever! This is a two story home perfect for two families with a 2nd story front porch entrance and a 1st story side entrance. Upstairs you will find an open floor plan with a living room; a fully equipped kitchen including everything an avid chef could want on vacation; as well as a beautiful new dining room set, which seats six. There are four extra bar stools at the spacious kitchen bar. There is a king master suite, a bedroom with two twins, and a queen bedroom, with an additional full bathroom on the top floor. Downstairs has another charming family room, complete with a really nice Shelti foosball table and a Nintendo game system, a kitchenette with many kitchen essentials, a queen master suite as well as a kids' room with a pyramid bunk (full on bottom and twin on top.)

There are Smart TV's in the upstairs living room, each bedroom upstairs, the downstairs family room, the downstairs queen master, and the garage entertainment area with Netflix and Disney+ subscriptions.

Attached is a garage with washer and dryer and a fun outdoor entertainment setup with a TV, comfortable chairs, beach toys, beach chairs, 2 beach carts, a large Neso beach canopy, four Huffy beach cruisers, a mountain bike, and a child's bike, a wave ski (surf kayak), and a canoe and kayak in the backyard, perfect for viewing the gorgeous sunsets in the sound just west of the house. On the front porch are four cozy chairs, perfect for enjoying that early morning cup of coffee as the sun comes up over the distant ocean, quietly flooding the waking neighborhood with its warm glow.

**NEW: We have recently completed an extensive, fenced-in backyard renovation complete with a NEW HOT TUB, beautiful sectional sofa and a dining table with 6 chairs that are nestled under a shade canopy. Also newly added is a fire pit surrounded by 3 super comfortable Nags Head Hammock swings. In one corner of the yard hangs a cozy hammock as well as a clothesline on the opposite fence for those wet swim suits and beach towels.

Serenity sits about 1/2 mile west from the beach, just a straight shot down the quiet, neighborhood street, across the main highway, and straight ahead to the public beach access. We are very close to the sound side with a really nice bike trail that runs for miles, passing through the Wright Brothers Memorial.

**PLEASE NOTE: Any stay longer than 10 days will require an additional cleaning and inspection of the property at the end of each week. The guest agrees to pay these additional fees.
**This cottage is for non-smokers only, both inside as well as outside on our property, due to the severe allergies of owners as well as frequent guests. No smokers allowed at this property.

Perfect spot for an Outer Banks getaway!

Serenity did not fall short of its name! In town for the OBX Bike Week, a serene reprieve is a must after long days of riding and this home away from home was just that! First of all, location is vital, located right in the heart of the outer banks visiting north or south bound was a breeze. And after a day of touring the islands a clean and comfortable place to land for the night is what is needed for the mind and body. Serenity was spotless and stocked with everything one could need when on vacation from crisp linens and towels to relaxing spaces to unwind. And the layout of the house is perfect for more than one family. I would recommend this OBX home away from home for everyone and give it 5 stars all the way around!

Business trip

Serenity is owned by Dennis & Lauralee, who have 4 beautiful children. We are entrepreneurs from northern Virginia, who have businesses in real estate investing, building contracting, HVAC contracting, short term vacation rentals, as well as a new flower farming venture. We also homeschool our children and enjoy traveling and spending lots of time outdoors.

We purchased and renovated this home in 2011 and rented it out as employee housing for a local beach resort until 2021. We loved this home because if its location on a quiet street, in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood with nearby residential cops keeping an eye out for the community's safety and well-being. During the spring of 2022, we made a spontaneous decision to refurnish it as a short term rental vacation home, and we have had so much fun bringing it back to life in such a short period of time! It is really important to us to help other families make special memories here as we have and to create a luxurious vacation experience that our guests want to revisit year after year. Having this home has given us a unique opportunity to practice hospitality while offering a wonderful, serene vacation getaway for families and friends who want to enjoy from this smoke- free haven all that the Outer Banks has to offer.
