Jasmine Cottage is the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy the best that Arapahoe has to offer. This beautifully appointed pet friendly, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath single family cottage has breathtaking views! The community also boasts it's very own private river beach, fishing dock and seasonal swimming pool for your enjoyment! Kick back, relax and call this lovely retreat "home".

This home is fully furnished with a Queen bed in each bedroom. It has a reverse layout with the bedrooms and baths on the ground level with the full kitchen, open living and dining space located on the second level. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need to feel right at home.

There is a small Bunkie/Carriage house that sits on the property. The Bunkie/Carriage house is not included with the rental. The Owner frequently occupies this space. Both the main house of Jasmine Cottage and the Bunkie/Carriage house have separate entrances.

There are two parking spaces at the cottage with a separate space to park your boat and trailer. There are a couple of kayaks and a paddleboard available for your use.

The nearest boat ramp is located only a half mile 0.5 miles on Dawson Creek. There is plenty of room to park your vehicle and boat/trailer.

This bike, sailor, and family friendly hideaway is known for its breath taking waterfront views, great fishing, steady winds, and community events. Our local hospitality will welcome you and your family to experience local events such as our annual Croaker festival, Dragon Run, Community Yard Sale, Music Festivals, Farmer's Market, and more. While you are here we invite you to dine in one of our local restaurants where fresh seafood is always on the menu. Wake up with a nice cup of hot coffee and enjoy the morning views of the harbor at our local coffee shop. While this may seem like a small town, we have a lot to offer! Oriental has something for everyone and people of all ages. We look forward to being your next getaway. If you are interested in any recommendations for boat tours, power/ sailboat rentals, fishing trips, kayaks, or any other recommendations please give us a call and we will be happy to help.

From Oriental you can take advantage of day trips to the beach, Outer Banks, historic New Bern or to quaint coastal towns. This area offers the best fishing, boating, kayaking and paddle boarding twelve months out of the year.

There is a $25 per day per pet fee collected by the Host prior to check-in.
Reservations for longer than 27 nights will be subjected to an additional cleaning fee.

Nightmare

Had a busted door lock. Frig is moldy, rusty and dripping refrigerator and "fresh" drinking waterspout, Old frosted ice cubes left in the tray, and some cubes are missing. Whole fish was left frozen in a thin grocery bag, and condiments left in the frig..what? Dirty floors that couldn't be any more scratched and hole riddled with damage. Yellow nasty water coming out of sinks and toilets. The stove and HVAC vents, and window blinds packed with dirt you can see finger swipes everywhere. There were drink spills dripping down the kitchen walls. Marks all of the walls. The water in sinks and toilets are yellow and some with very low pressures flowing. We were greeted with a used toothpick in a basket on the front table. Old boards and junk were hidden in the bushes. We noticed a beach wagon full of fishing equipment was sitting next to the sidewalk and later it was gone along with our personal items. We heard music and seen lights in the garage. We found out the owner was staying in there. After denning, he finally gave back out personal things. He said he had borrowed a can opener and went in and put it back while we were out for dinner. OH MY WORD --REALLY!!!!! OUR PETS AND PERSONAL THINGS WERE IN THERE. We packed up and went home. Was a 12-14 hour nightmare.

Weekend Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at Jasmine Cottage. It was a beautiful area with access to the Neuse River, pier for fishing and a refreshing pool that my granddaughter loved. The cottage had wonderful views! We loved exploring Oriental also. Hopefully we can plan another trip there.

Memorial Day in Oriental

Loved the house and the plantation it sits on. I was looking for a relaxing place to be able to fish without the hustle and bustle of an actual beach. I caught a nice size Red Drum off the dock. The kids had a blast in the pool and the little plot of sand by the water. It was an easy drive into downtown Oriental. Randy was a gracious host and the house was beautiful and spacious for the 4 of us.
