This place is our dream place in a place of our dreams….Dorset! We started our family annual trip to Dorset when our eldest daughter was only 4 months old and now, she is 40 years old and we were able to buy our cottage 9 years ago!
Welcome to our serene lakefront retreat nestled on the shores of Otter Lake! This spacious and private cottage offers the perfect escape for families and groups seeking tranquility and outdoor adventure. With its expansive 3.3 acres of land surrounded by trees, you'll feel completely immersed in nature from the moment you arrive.

Our place consists of 3500 sq feet of living space on 3.3 acres of land right off Hwy 35 (30 minutes from Huntsville, Bracebridge and Minden…well positioned!). It sleeps up to 16 guests within 5 bedrooms. There are 3 bathrooms, two with showers and one with a bathtub and shower. We have 180+ feet of shoreline to a beautiful sandy, safe beach. In addition, the lake is shallow 60 feet out from the shoreline so it’s safe for children, fun to play water sports or just have your feet in the water.
Coming here is a joy…7 minutes from downtown Dorset and a quiet yet fun place to be…you have many options.

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere of our cottage. The open-concept living area boasts ample space for gatherings, featuring comfortable seating and large windows that offer panoramic views of the lake. Whether you're curling up by the fireplace with a good book or enjoying a meal together at the dining table, you'll feel right at home in this cozy retreat.

With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, including both showers and tubs, our cottage comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests, making it ideal for families or multiple couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Each bedroom is thoughtfully decorated with comfort and relaxation in mind.
Outside, you'll find yourself drawn to the sandy beach and shallow waters of Otter Lake. Perfect for children and adults alike, the safe beach area offers endless opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles.
