Great value

We rented this place because it is convenient to have the whole family stay in one place. Plus it is also conveniently located near the city. When we arrived, this place amazed us. The reception was very warm, and he told us mostly what we need to know during our stay. We stayed in the 2 bedroom townhouse and the space is adequate for all of us. All the facilities work and the beds are so comfortable.

In the middle of it all, but odd staff hours

We arrived on the Friday prior to Easter Sunday. Little did I know how seriously Australians took Easter. I didn't notice in the confirmation emails that we needed to call ahead if we were going to arrive later to schedule check-in. Multiple panicked calls to Expedia and to the office yielded no results. However, upon arrival there was a note on the door to call the manager's cell phone and we were given a code to a lockbox in the lobby for our key. The room was much more than we expected, although it took some planning to figure out the television. It's on some kind of timer that senses the last time you pressed a button on the remote, and it cuts the power after a few hours. Problem was that if you hit the power button on the remote, it merely restored power to the TV; with power restored you could then hit the power button again and the TV would actually turn on. We never heard our neighbors or any road noise. There was plenty of seating in the living room, and the heater worked well, for which my Queensland traveling partner was thankful! They also included a canvas reusable shopping bag. Overall this place was very impressive for the price!

Tidy, handy, reasonable

Considering that this place is only a few blocks from the free tourist loop tramway, and that Melbourne is generally an expensive place to stay, it rates as an absolute bargain. The only disappointment: Internet access, which is listed as an amenity, is NOT free, but quite expensive, rather slow, and difficult to set up. Be sure to self-cater -- the kitchen is well equipped and Melbourne restaurants are also quite spendy.

Nice location, simple but comfortable and clean

Stayed there for the Australian Open, 20-25min walk. Close to train stations, supermarkets, 1-2 cafes for breakfast. The room was nice and airy, sofa bed was decent. Plenty of space. Could do with more clothing drawers esp if 2 or more are staying. The only drawback was the windows weren’t soundproof so woken up early every morning by traffic, garbage truck's, sirens etc If staying here for the tennis/cricket it’s an easy walk but if night sessions finish quite late u don’t won’t to walk back on ur own. It felt safe but very quiet and empty streets. If u have trouble with stairs ask for ground level too.

The room felt dirty. The carpets were stained with burns next to the bed. Walls in need of painting and the windows did not shut properly in the main area or the bathroom. The sofa bed for the third adult was really bad and was only made slightly better with the mattress topper provided. Not any good for a decent sleep. Checked out early and wouldn’t book again. Misleading images online. Room needs attention.

The stay was nice. Our fridge was set too cold and all of our food that we had in there got frozen and was no good to eat. It had to be thrown out. That was very disappointing. I don’t like wasting food but I didn't really have a choice as the food was no longer edible. Some sort of reimbursement would’ve been nice but nothing was offered to us. Other than that I had no complaints.

Loved it

Clean and tidy apartment with everything that you need to a good stay. Close to shops, restaurants and public transport (tram, bus and train). And just 35 minutes walk in to the city this place is perfect. Close enough to the city but far enough out to be quiet.

The place seemed run down. The rooms were okay but not pleasant. The shower dripped. The windows would not completely close. The TV would not show any of the HD DTV channels (more than half of them) and there wasn't any pay tv channels as advertised. The sofa bed was terrible to sleep on. Fortunately, we were only there for one night and it was convenient to our activities but wouldn't stay there again. Not sure how they can command such a price for that standard.

Found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful hot shower and very comfortable bed. Great location to hospitals, city and public transport. The only complaint was the carpet. Alot of stains and needed a steam clean. Would recommend the property otherwise.
