Es gibt Zebras und Antilopen zu sehen, aber keine Fahrräder zum Leihen wie angegeben. Wir standen lange vorn Gate, weil es kein Netz gab und nur eine der 3 Nummern funktionierte. Dass man anrufen muss, war vorher auch nicht klar.

Very distant hotel. Quiet and isolated. 100m from the ocean. Apartment was spacious, but not that clean. Notice - there's no phone and no cellular reception, so the only communication method is using the Wifi, BUT if you accidentally reset the router (like we did) - it stops working and you lose contact to the world...

Heaven on Earth at Gourikwa

What a pleasant surprise. Very clean and neat, large rooms. The small church on site at the beach is beautiful. Lovely swimming pool and we saw a lot of Zebra's.

Good for the soul

This was a super relaxing stay. We stayed in an ocean front fisherman’s hut and spent the night in front of the fireplace listening to the wind. Great for the soul. Make sure you get the code for the gate IN ADVANCE of arrival. It took us 1.5 hours from when we got to the reserve to actually get in there because we didn’t have the code and none of the contact numbers (including the emergency number) were working or got a response. Once we got in, we enjoyed it though

Ferienhaus am Meer mit allem was man braucht

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus für 4 Personen, gut ausgestattete Küche. Die Lage am Meer ist super,aber sehr, sehr ruhig. Auf dem Scenic Drive sieht man Elands und Zebras sowie Perlhühner. Achtung: unbedingt von der Straße nach Gouritsmond aus zum Gourikwa Reserve fahren, da das Osttor von der Meerseite her geschlossen ist und nur mit entsprechendem Chip geöffnet werden kann.

Grandiose Natur, Ruhe und viel Platz

Wir haben ein paar Tage in einem der Cottages in der Nähe der Rezeption verbracht. Das Cottage liegt nur 100m vom Meer entfernt, wer das Rauschen mag ist hier richtig. Auf dem großen Gelände verteilt gibt es vom Zimmer bis zum großen Cottage unterschiedliche Unterkunftsmöglichkeiten. Das Cottage war komplett ausgestattet, in der Küche gab es alles Notwendige an Geräten und Geschirr. Das Cottage hatte fast komplett neue Möbel, einzig das Bad könnte etwas erneuert werden. Das Resort bereitet auch Mahlzeiten zu, wir waren mit dem Frühstück im Restaurant sehr zufrieden. Es wird dort auch auf individuelle Wünsche wie z.B. vegetarisches Essen, eingegangen. Über dem gesamten Areal liegt eine große Ruhe und Friedlichkeit, welche nur abgeschiedene Orte bieten können. Trotzdem muss man nicht auf Internet und Fernsehen verzichten. Im Reservat kann man gut wandern oder Joggen, es gibt zahlreiche Wege, am Wasser entlang oder im Hinterland. Man begegnet Zebras, Springböcken und Schildkröten. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Pool, mit Sitzbänken und Liegen. Kurzum, Naturliebhaber sind hier richtig und können angenehm und komfortabel entspannen. Party people oder Gourmet Restaurant Fans müssen von hier aus ins Auto steigen und z.B. nach Mossel Bay fahren.

Sehr schönes Cottage mit 2 Schlafzimmern

Auch wenn die Anlage im Umbau ist: sehr ruhig, wunderbare Aussicht. Sehr schönes self-catering cottage, gute Infrastruktur im Cottage! Ein wunderbare, gedeckte Terrasse mit Fireplace.
