A hidden gem!

The location is ideal - close to the action but far enough away to avoid crowds. The garden and lobby areas are very relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful and the service is excellent. Great stay!

This is one we’d absolutely recommend and return to. Our space was clean and well appointed. Nice sitting area, comfy bed, clean and well functioning restroom. There is a nice private courtyard to share with fellow guests as well as bottle fillers and a laundry. The area surrounding was great for restaurants and a little nightlife. It was easily walkable to most of the sites. Overall easy 5/5!

Nice room and location, but loud

The Palazzo has spacious rooms, with a good kitchenette, and a convenient location to many sites in Florence. We were on the floor above street level, next to the street and it was loud. If you’re at all sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs and ask for a room facing the garden.

This is a self-service hotel. There is no reception, but you communicate with the staff through WhatsApp. You get a code, after everything is paid online, that you use to enter the front door and the room itself. Very big and nice room, with a small kitchen and a separate area with chairs, and a separate bedroom. Lot of space. There is also a laundry room in the basement. In the backyard there is a nice garden, and there is a pop-up cafeteria, where you can buy breakfast/brunch/lunch.

Great location! Very charming and spacious room. Chiara was beyond gracious in accommodating us and even helped us to book subsequent nights for the remainder of our stay in Florence. All properties were perfect.

This apartment was modern and easy to access. There is a garden area that is quiet and private. The host was detailed with instructions and quick with responses. The apartment is located on the third floor and has 2 bedrooms up an additional staircase. If your party has difficulty with stair, it may not be a good fit. The only issue encountered was parking. There is a paid lot approximately a 5 minute walk away.

Convenient location - short walk to all the major sights, and a good local supermarket to stock the fridge/mini-kitchen. Comfortable but not sleek - no elevators and wooden or stone floors. Staff were helpful - Florence is overrun with tourists right now, creating problems with taxis and dinner reservations and such. The staff were great at figuring out alternative plans when necessary.

As soon as you get to the property they let you know that they are NOT an hotel so they will not offer cleaning service in your room. It was a little disappointing because they don’t mention that on Expedia or their website. Bed was clean but a little hard for us, the bathroom had bad smell (mould) and low water pressure. A/C works, I do not recommend the breakfast buffet, it’s €15 per person and very poor. (Meaning coffee, tea, bread and cold scrambled eggs)

Sadly, the room looked like none in the pictures. It was very dark, with dark paint and very little natural light. There were no bedside lamps next to the bed, just overhead lighting. The use of space was poorly considered, with little room for luggage or clothes storage. Yet a full cupboard of dishes…. The safe did not work. We reported to staff the first night and were told to lock our door. Later, when talking with Expedia, the hotel staff said we should have come down when we had a problem. We did and our concern was minimized and not corrected. Later that night, when using the large flush, the water on the toilet would not stop running. We found a caretaker, who stopped the running but could not fix the toilet. His advice: only use the small flush. Again, after communicating with Expedia, we were told hotel staff checked the toilet while we were out and found no problem. We were given a key for a side door, which didn’t work. We were told the solution was to not use door if the key did not work. We wanted to cancel the future nights based on the look and feel of the room. It was not permitted by the hotel. We asked for a discount based on the flaws but were told there were none. Individual staff were polite and friendly. Location was central. Garden is beautiful. These so not make up for the ugly room and the disappointing experience overall.
