Large villa with pool for family holidays in the Pyrenees

Come for a fantastic holiday with all the family to this fully-renovated farmhouse in a peaceful, rural location in a pretty, typically-French village. It's the perfect location for a cycling, walking or relaxing holiday as a group, especially for families with children. There is plenty to see in the surrounding foothills of the Pyrénées, with a huge range of Tour de France mountains a drive or cycle away. Everybody can also enjoy the great facilities at the house - the swimming pool, the huge garden and the masses of other activities nearby to have a brilliant holiday....
The house has 5 spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, one with a shower. Four bedrooms are upstairs and one downstairs. They all come with sheets and towels. Two of the rooms also have balconies.
The villa has a huge living room (with British & French satellite TV and a piano), a games room (with pool table, darts, table-football, dvds, games, books), a very large kitchen-diner, gym and bike storeroom with washing machine. There is also wifi internet access.
Outside is a swimming pool, covered eating area with two barbecues, sun terrace and courtyard, as well as large grassy areas and swings for children.
The kitchen-diner is equipped with an oven, hobs, microwave, fridge, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and plenty of cutlery, crockery and glasses etc. There is a range of excellent local restaurants to chose from too.
The house is on the edge of the Hautes-Pyrenean village of Galan and is within 5 minutes walking distance of a restaurant, bakery, grocer's shop/newsagent, pharmacy, hairdresser's and post-office.
The surrounding region has masses to offer for full- or half-day visits - tree-climbing, a mountain luge, animal parks, water parks, caves, castles, museums, spa-towns and vineyards (to name but a few).
Our local lanes and the iconic Pyrenean mountains are perfect for cyclists and walkers alike.
Some favourite nearby towns and villages include Arreau, Argeles-Gazost, Bagnère de Luchon, Lourdes and Tarbes. With the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts both just a 2 hour drive away, you will also be well-placed for day trips to the beach, whilst being able to stay in a rural location in a very unspoiled part of France.
The villa is 45 minutes from Tarbes-Lourdes, an hour from Pau, 1.5hour's drive from Toulouse and 2 hours from Biarritz & Carcassonne airports - so plenty of choice for flights. By train you are 15 minutes from Lannemezan station. If coming by car, the ferries into the north of Spain, or the relatively easy drive through the length of France, are also popular options.
