The staff behind the desk was very cool. Noticed it was my birthday and said happy birthday and suggesed going on a scavenger hunt that was also on the Expedia website under fun things to do around me since it was my birthday she was telling me all about it and helped me find it.then everybtim I happen to see her she would say again happy birthday and it made me feel very welcomed and loved and cared for and I will go back just because of that . She's the only one who happen to say it to me that day. So it ment alot
First guest service person polite and personable. From then on not so hot. No replacement towels. When asked for more towels we were handed pool towels and told that was all that was available. Room in disrepair, shabby and unclean. When entering, the hallways smelled of pot.
This hotel felt like it was a homeless shelter. There was numerous people outside of the side entrance, sitting in lawn chairs and the area stank with marijuana. Then there was someone in the main lobby in a wheelchair with a beggar's cup, who appeared to be getting money from the main front desk. The crossway for the 2nd floor had a railing of sorts, which had another guy who appeared to be homeless just watching everyone who walked in or out of the building. Neither myself or my wife felt safe at all.
When I was pulling items from my car into the hotel, the people at the side entrance watched me like a hawk. Every item I pulled out of my car, I felt like I was being sized up. When my wife arrived, there was someone sitting underneath the window as well...
Inside of the room itself, it was a disaster. The bathroom towel rack was attached to the wall by a single screw and only contained one towel. The door to the bathroom had knobs, but no mechanical parts inside to even keep the door shut. The TV looked like a throwback to the early 90's and the dresser it sat on had huge chunks that had been scratched out of it. There was a massive burn in the main table, the size of a coffee mug. All in all, it was a VERY unpleasant room. After being in the room for all of 3 hours, we found another hotel close to the Mall of America and left. We knew we didn't get a refund but we didn't care.... we didn't feel safe and wanted to get out as soon as possible.

Muchos fumadores y las habitaciones huelen a consumo de cigarrillos, Tuvimos que comprar un gel aromático
Walking into the lobby, we passed several 'guests' sitting on lawn chairs drinking. The lobby furniture was dark and worn. We asked to see our room before deciding to stay. Walking the corridor to the room, we smelled pot coming from several rooms. Entering our room we found it to be sparse, unclean and there was a smoke odor throughout. We opted to cancel our reservation and go elsewhere. The one good spot was the agent who didn't question our decision and apologized to us for the sub-standards. The agent cancelled our reservation and assured us that we would NOT be charged a with a cancellation fee. Other Days Inn properties have always been our first choice when travelling, but not any more.
Room was OK at Best. Only 2 bath towels provided, no wash cloths or hand towels in my room. Was there 2 nights, no room service or bed made up. Guess they no longer do cleaning or make up beds on multi night stays

The front desk staff are wonderful!!!! And that comment is serious, not facetious. The condition of the hotel itself is pretty poor. Carpet reeks of stale cigarette smoke. Water damage on walls and ceilings. Holes and dents in the walls in the room. Faucet in the tub was very difficult to get to stop dripping. In short, the whole place appears to need a revamp. At one point, it may have been a nice place. Now it's a home for the semi-homeless.
Sheets were thin and ripped
AC / Heater were not working
Room smelled
It was a horrible experience
I checked out right away and went to a different hotel.
The lady at the front desk was nice. The hotel room had hair in the sink when I arrived. The tub was clogged and drained very slowly. So during a shower, the water was up to my ankles the whole time. The tv remotes were missing backs and batteries. Luckily I only had to stay one night. Pay the extra few dollars and stay somewhere else.
Never again, i booked the hotel for 3 days but i had to checked out a day early the place was dirty, smelled so bad, my door was not locking, couldn't sleep did not feel safe at all

disappointed
The hotel is being improved, but there were safety concerns as the exterior doors were constantly propped open. There was garbage overflowing the outside bins, and the front desk help wasn't friendly.
The pool was very fun, with plenty of room to swim
Honestly it was cheap and near the mall of America so I grabbed it but overall it was so filthy. Stains everywhere there was food crumbs on the floor it was pretty gross. The indoor pool was freezing and the front desk lady was rude. We only stayed one night and got another hotel the next day. When I looked at the online photos it didn’t look like the hotel I was actually staying at.
I had arrived at the hotel to find out that the room i orderes was not handicapped accessible, they put us on the 2nd floor with a wheelchair. They had then moved us to the 1sr floor. When i went to go to check the room i had found it had a flooding problem and they were trying to clean it, they they put us in a different room, upon xoming outside to the door so i can put the luggage in the hotel, there were 5 people sitting outside. When i asked if the door remained locked they stated that no it does not lock, someone then stated to me that if i was looking for a job they could get me one as a stripper and that i look good enough to strip, heading inside when i told the desk person they then told me that it was and they stated his name and that they were just drunk and they were long term residents there. I then go to the room and turn on the air where it does not work. Going to the front desk they said they could not help because there were no more rooms. As i was unloading the car. There was a person that was dressed in a suit that looked like a tree and had scared me, when i yelled and i had stated that it was not funny, i was told to just take a chill pill. This was a horrible experience and i am still awaiting a call from the manager. The lady i spoke to this morning xhexking out seemed more xoncerned and more understanding about what had happened.
Building and area are a dump. So bad I can not believe it is available on Travelocity. Walls had holes bigger than fists. Floor so uneven they would be prefect for miniature golf. Ceilings falling due to water damage. Bedding had burnt holes. Abandoned cars in the parking lot. Took the financial hit and got out of the area. Stayed at the Holiday Express instead.
Location us no so great the entirely hotel needs a updating
Room smells, carpet was so dirty and to be honest the entire room looks dirty I try to use the sink that was outside the bathroom and it was clough and moments later all the water start leaking from the drain pipe
I regret to stay there right after I swa the room but it wasn't free cancelation so we where stuck there honestly hope this is helpful for someone else trust me I'm not a demanding person but the room was bad service is alright very nice people but I'll probably I avoid this hotel in my next visit to Minneapolis
We checked in and ended up having to change rooms within like 20 minutes because of the string small of pot. We changed rooms to the other side of hotel and the smell was better but there were stains on the bed and walls. Not a clean or safe hotel for our family.
