A hidden gem up the Forio hillside but worth the challenging drive. Best service (management is superb with fantastic recommendations), transfers and shuttles to Local area. Excellent massages. Loved our room inside and out. Views of ocean and sunset are hard to match. Will return!

Beautiful gem of a hotel
This hotel is a wonderful little gem with the sweetest, most attentive staff. I would stay again and again if I ever go to Ischia again — I wouldn’t even look at another option. It is on top of the hill above Forio, lush with lemon and orange trees and a beautiful pool. It has incredible views of the island and the bay and you will witness the most gorgeous sunsets. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It was very easy to get down to Forio and back using the complimentary hotel shuttle, so we didn’t need a car. Ischia is very easy to travel around by bus, by the way. My one recommendation is to bring a sleeping mask to use for your stay if you need a dark room as the curtains let a lot of light through and there is a lighthouse that flashes its bright light across the bay all night long. I got used to it after the first night but I will bring a sleeping mask if I ever go again.

Espectacular! Mejor de lo que te imaginas.
Everything is even nicer than the photos and the family owners are kind, genuine, helpful people who helped make this an unforgettable experience.
Worth every penny and the journey.

I’m conflicted, I want to say bad things to keep people from uncovering this stunning hotel and location but I really couldn’t do that as the people running Poggio Antico are some of the nicest I’ve met when travelling.
The views are breathtaking, the pool is peaceful and perfectly sized, the rooms are beautiful and immaculately clean (well, the suite we stayed in was)- my wife and I passed comment on how quiet it was at night, I can’t remember anything quite like it.
The breakfast offering is exquisite also, everything is fresh and well maintained, the views whilst eating and enhanced by the soothing ambient music, great free shuttle taking you to nearby locations, and lastly the staff (every one of them) seem to love working at Poggio Antico and it shines through when you interact with them, they couldn’t be better
If you’re deciding on somewhere to stay in Ischia, I implore you to stop here and book... we will likely be back in the near future.
Special mention to the restaurant directly adjacent to Poggio Antico, ‘Bellavista’... we ate here twice and will again when we next visit. The owner is charming and a lovely man, the views are spectacular and the food fantastic.
Oh my God, the view was unbelievable, the facilities were amazing but the staff were one of a kind - absolutely amazing individuals!
All the small details were on point and therefore I can only say: ''WOW, and thank you''
A little slice of heaven! The hotel is very well decorated, the pool areas and surrounding gardens are beautiful and the views are truly breathtaking. The staff are genuinely concerned with making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The hotel is situated high in the mountainous roads of the island about 10 minute drive from Forio centre which at first we thought was secluded and would be difficult to move around from but the hotel offer a free shuttle service to Forio and surrounding areas. Wonderful restaurants close by too which you can get to by foot. Would love to go back.
Poggio Antico is a small, but very nice and professionally run family property. The majority of the property is only 1 year old, in a well, very tastefully designed garden setting on the hills over Forio.
Sweeping views over the western coast of Ischia from most rooms and the pool area. Good breakfast was included in the great rate we received from Expedia. We would have stayed longer if we could have.
