We had a wonderful stay at the BnB. Erika is super welcoming and helpful. She made accomodations for our large group and made us feel at home. The food was superb and the house was very clean. I could not more highly recommend the BnB!
Our family (12 adults, a child and baby) had the pleasure of staying for a week at the Oakland Cottage. The historic house was wonderful with spacious rooms and bathrooms. It had Asheville charm! The cottage has plenty of on-site parking and is conveniently located near all Asheville has to offer. Pleased as we all were with the house, the highlight of the stay were the innkeeper/chef-Jim and Erica. They could not have been kinder or more hospitable. Each breakfast they made was memorable-absolutely delicious! They were always willing to accommodate dietary issues and the children’s changing appetites.
The Oakland Cottage was a wonderful getaway, and also a place to feel at home!
Oakland Cottage is a fantastic B&B for an Asheville stay. It isn't a far drive to get anywhere you need to go. The innkeepers are friendly and knowledgeable as well! We had a large group and felt very at home. Every room in this property is absolutely full of charm. We loved our experience and will be back for sure! Thanks to Erica and Jim for making our trip so wonderful!
We rented the whole place for our children and grandchildren to gather for an early Christmas celebration. Perfect location, rooms, breakfast, and common area for group of 10 from age 17 months to 58.
We had a wonderful stay at Oakland Cottage, renting the entire house with our siblings, their spouses, and kids. 3 couples and 7 "kids" from age13-20. We were in town for a family reunion and this was a great location from which do all the things Asheville has to offer. Hiking, downtown, Grove Park, Biltmore., you name it.
The innkeepers, Erica and Jim, were wonderful hosts. Ask Jim about the homes history!! Fascinating, and it's obvious he has a passion for the house and all it's connections through time. Be sure to tell Erica about your food preferences and allergies. She will accommodate and you will not be disappointed. It's been quite awhile since I've had allergen free pastries that taste like the real thing! That said, she graciously prepared for both allergy friendly AND the regular standards. Yummy for all. Every breakfast was amazing!
The home itself if beautifully appointed, comfortable, and quiet. Even with so many guests. The butler's pantry was the perfect size to accommodate all our drinks and snacks. Plus, there's a mini fridge in almost every room. My kiddos totally took advantage of that!
We will be back!
We had an amazing time at the Oakland Cottage! Great home, true hospitality! Erica really took care of our group- very communicative and prepped great food.
So much fun!
We have stayed in numerous B&Bs in Asheville and this was one of the best. The food was amazing, even for our gluten free contingent. Facilities are spacious and calming. We had a large group made up of two families and the B&B was perfect. While not in walking distance to downtown, it is a short drive and a great location. Can’t say enough! We will definitely be back!
Wonderful Thanksgiving in Asheville with the family, perfect location. Biltmore is a must see. Property is beautiful and as described. We had the whole house and the family loved it!
Erica and Jim were wonderful hosts! We could not have asked for a better experience.
We rented the whole B&B and highly recommend it, if you are looking for a place for a reunion or family trip.
We had people from their 80s to their 20s and all were in agreement that this place was perfect.
It's convenient and charming. We will definitely be renting from them again on our next trip to Asheville.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
This property is outstanding. It is clean, well organized and comfortable. We rented the entire property and all of us found a room to our liking. The breakfast provided by the Innkeepers, Erica and Jim, was excellent. The common area is very inviting and we enjoyed sitting here to review the day's activities. You can't go wrong with this vintage venue.
We loved our stay at Oakland Cottage. The house far exceeded our expectations & Erica & Jim could not have been better or more hospitable. From check-in to check-out or experience was amazing and the breakfast was just fabulous. We enjoyed every bit of the house especially the beautiful porch. We will return.
