Beautiful and comfortable hotel.

We’ve just spent a week in this beautiful hotel and it was everything I had hoped it would be. The building has been renovated and decorated in perfect keeping with its historic architectural style whilst adding modern comfortable features. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts fabulous.

A very classy property, spacious rooms and modern beautiful bathrooms. We loved the location on a small bustling square directly opposite the yellow metro line station taking you 4 or 5 stops to the historical centre. Also easy access with one stop to either train station and airport. Lovely garden with pool and sun beds. Run by a group of lovely and helpful young people. It was an ideal stay for us.

I liked that the accomodation at walking distance was of the metro. The staff was very friendly and without hesitation they made us cappucionno for breakfast, which we appreciated very much. The breakfast buffet was nice, and had everything we needed. I didn’t like the noise of the busstop in front of our room, we couldn’t sleep with the windows open.

I had a lovely stay at this charming small hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. While waiting for my room to be ready, they offered me a glass of port wine, which was a lovely touch. Throughout my stay, everyone was helpful and genuinely service-minded, with great local tips on where to go and where to eat. Even after checkout, they let me relax by the pool for a few hours before my flight back to Norway — something I really appreciated. It’s that kind of thoughtful hospitality that makes a place stand out. I’ll definitely be back! Best regards, Simen

This is a beautiful hotel. It’s an easy walk to the key tourist areas, and it’s right by a metro stop, making it a great location to get around from. There are lots of cafes and other shops right around the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and quite comfortable. The WiFi was sometimes difficult to connect to in our room. Breakfast was delicious and a nice variety. The courtyard is very nice!

Initially we were a bit disappointed as the room we were given was quite dark and in the annex to the main buiding, and it necessitated going on to the main road to the main building (using key cards) for breakfast and the gardens / swimming pool. We moved rooms for the 2nd night and the experience was so much better - a room in the main building with a large balcony. Make sure you ask for eggs with your breakfast if you want them as they're cooked to order, but we weren't told on our first day so didnt realsie they were included.

Great small hotel in a great location.

We have just spent 3 nights at the Marques Garden House by Olivia in Porto and are absolutely delighted by the experience. The hotel is small in terms of the number of rooms however the rooms are a good size. Our room was on the top floor and there is no lift but we managed the stairs very well. The hotel has been converted from i assume a private dwelling at some point. Care has been taken to retain as many of the original features as possible and yet give the modern traveller everything you need. The staff are very welcoming with Carol deserving a special mention. If you like staying in branded hotels this is not for you, but if you like different and quirky this is great. It's location is excellent, out from the centre surrounded by locals but an easy walk or even easier metro ride to all of the action.

Bon plan à Porto!

Petit hôtel facon chambres d'hôtes idéalement situé. Chambre somptueuse. Petit dejeuner : bon et copieux, toujours immediatement regarni. Personnel professionnel et à l'écoute, toujours de bon conseil. Emplacement en face du métro (10min de Sao Bento), d'un arrêt de bus et d'une station de taxi. Toute commodités à quelques minutes. Ideal pour visiter Porto en couple ou en famille (suite junior) sans les inconvenients du centre touristique.

Kamer op het zonder, voelt een beetje opgesloten, wel mooie ruime nette kamer, helaas een keer de vieze lucht uit de luchtpijp kwam, gelukkig snel opgelost. Verder waren we tevreden met het verblijf, dichtbij metro station en loopt afstand van het centrum, personeel zijn ontzetten aardig, lekker onbtijt tot 11 uur beschikbaar.

Dejligt hotel med lækker have og fred og ro. Supervenligt personale og god service Vi var der i sluts marts og der var noget koldt på badeværelset. Indhold og service i forbindelse med morgenmaden var meget forskellig fra dag til dag og en dag ikke så god.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is very comfortable and clean, lovely breakfast and it is convenient for the metro, literally a few steps away, perfect for transport to the airport and city centre. Several nice restaurants nearby.
