John has a great spot to stay that is clean, well equipped, close to the beach, town and airport. Nice setup plus he has his own car rental which makes the travels less stressful. John is a great communicator and has all the processes down to a science. Highly recommend.

The owner of the property was super nice and incredibly helpful. He even allowed my girlfriend and I to test-drive his car so we could get used to driving on the left side of the road. He gave us a ton of helpful tips about local culture/how to get around/what to check out, etc. If I go back to Eleuthera, I would love to stay there again.

A great stay at Villa Allamanda!

We had a wonderful stay a Villa Allamanda. John was a wonderful host! He picked us up from the airport and told us lots of interesting things about Eleuthera. We rented a car from him and it was a great way to get oriented before exploring by ourselves. Highly recommended!

Top of the hill in location and value!

Very nice place indeed. Would stay again and recommend to friends. The bed was a bit firm and could use a little more cushion. However, the overall experience was excellent. Mr McCardy is a great host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay especially upgrading to the 3rd floor which has a wrap around deck with wonderful views of the Atlantic and Bahamian sea. John was very attentive. He has rental cars in great condition which we took advantage of. .

Great choice for a stay in Eleuthera

This is a well located property if you want to visit Eleuthera. Governors Harbour is the place you would most likely want to visit on the island and this is located between Governors Harbour Airport and the town. The owner is an architect and the design of the property reflects that. It is well laid out and nicely decorated. Not a cookie cutter property - all personal touches of island design. The owner is very friendly and will give you great advice on places (beaches) to see and eat. Or if you just want o sit on the upper deck with a bottle of wine and enjoy the breezes blowing over the hill that would be fine too. We had a very enjoyable visit on the island and stay at Allamanda.

Relaxing Eleuthera Getaway

My husband and I had a phenomenal experience at Villa Allamanda. The owner, John, is truly a gem. The room was really nice, clean and we had a great view. We had no issues whatsoever and it was truly like our home away from home. The location is just a short ride from all of the attractions in Governor's Harbour. I would highly suggest renting a car from John as it's extremely convenient and his cars are perfect for the terrain. I highly recommend Villa Allamanda and plan to stay there during our next visit later this year!

Awesome hotel, exceptional service.

Took a weekend trip to GH, Villa Allamanda was the perfect accommodation. Tucked away on a hill with breathtaking views. The room was clean, modern but still had an old Bahamian charm. I will definitely be back to this delightful island getaway.

Our room was ok for 1 night. 2 issues: 1 that power kept going out at least 5 times. 2 our room was at the front and was very noisy in the morning. This made us not able to have a restful night.

Beautiful stay in Eleuthera

This was our first visit to Eleuthera- absolutely wonderful vacation! The Villa Allamanda is located just north of Governors Harbor, midway down the Island and very convenient to great beaches and restaurants. The rooms are immaculate and well appointed. I asked for a hair dryer and a toaster and the owner, John McCarty provided these! The room otherwise really had everything you would want and there are 360 degree views from our 3rd floor wrap around deck! John is a great host, really can guide you with restaurant recommendations, activities, shopping, good beaches, etc. The island is known for it's uncrowded beaches and peaceful/relaxing environment. The people are friendly and welcoming. The beaches are amazing and there is great snorkeling on many of the beaches. We were very pleased with the hotel, the host, and our location and would certainly return to this hotel when we revisit!

Great, Homey yet Modern Hotel with Amazing Host

John is an amazing person and very warm host who went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. From taking us into town on our first night for some groceries to giving us a lift to the nearest beach. He also directed us to a friend who we were able to rent a great car from. The hotel itself was well equipped and very thought-out. There was a nook for every need, an outlet at every corner, lights galore. Both the interior and exterior of the house are colorful and true to the spirit of the island yet very modern. Beach towels, sun umbrellas and even coolers were available upon request. Overall, a fantastic experience! Our only regret was the duration of our stay, we really didnt want to leave.

Perfect Night

We had a last minute travel change that allowed us to arrive to Governor's Harbour a day earlier than planned. We were pleased to get a room for the night at Villa Allamanda, particularly where other properties (Pineapple Fields) do not permit a stay of just one night, even though they were not at all near full. The owner greeted us on arrival and was both courteous and helpful. The room was well appointed, clean and thoroughly modern, yet was quite cozy. After dinner at Tippy's we returned to have a glass or two on the upstairs deck and watch the night sky. The views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean sides of the Island were a treat. Check in and out was as smooth as could be and the location to restaurants and beaches, as well as the airport, made our stay very easy. We would definitely consider Villa Allamanda for a full vacation stay.
