If you are looking for a cabin on a mountain ridge with a view but also offers the secluded cabin in the woods vibe we are the cabin for you! Enjoy a game of Pool or relax by the fire while cookies back in the oven! Take a soak in the Hot tub, enjoy the fire pit area making s’mores or play a game of corn hole on the large deck while you cook up your favorite foods on the grill! Beech Mountain is 25 min from the cabin and Banner Elk NC is 40 min from the cabin.Enjoy the slopes on Beech Mountain with a short 35min drive or Sugar Mountain which is a 45min drive. Watauga Lake is 15 min from the cabin and offers boat, kayak and paddle board rentals at the 3 local Marinas. Boone NC is a 30 min drive and offers all the restaurants and shopping you could want and let’s not forget App State Football if you are a fan! Blowing Rock and Grandfather mountain are both within an hour and guest love to visit these attractions. Wattauga River and plenty of hiking trails and waterfalls are in the area too! Come and stay with us and enjoy the best the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer in NC and TN!! (All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles are recommended in winter weather)!

The house needs to be better equipped. It didn’t even have a cutting board! No amenities like soap, shampoo or conditioner. Usually when we have stayed at other VRBOs there are spices left over and dried goods from other guest. There was nothing in this house. It was more like a hunting cabin! No tvs in the rooms, the pantry door was just laying up against the wall, the fireplace was dirty, there was a knob missing on they stove so you couldn’t even use one of the burners and one on the cabinet doors kept coming off! We come every year to this area for our family ski trip and this house by far was the most disappointing one yet.

I do not advertise TVs in the bedrooms or that I supply shampoo and conditioners. I apologize for the pantry door the cleaners did advise me it came off track and I tried to reach out to you with no response to apologize for the eye sore. My cabin looks exactly like the pictures and it is definitely more than a hunting lodge. I am sorry if it did not meet your standards but it is well worth the price. I have a cutting board I am sorry if you did not see it in the drawer.

A Wonderful Experience

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat in the woods—and it delivered beautifully. The cabin was clean, well-appointed, and surrounded by nature, just as described. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive throughout the booking and stay. I would absolutely recommend this property to others looking for a cozy, serene getaway.

Bear Cabin Adventure

This cabin is set on top of a small hill with a beautiful overlook. There was plenty of space and things to do on property. The owners have done a great job with their bear decor and friendly correspondence. I would definitely recommend this home to others.

Cabin was absolutely amazing only complaint i would have is need better pics of driveway and parking not really motorcycle friendly we ended up parking motorcycles at bottom of driveway on side of road due to the steepness of the driveway

I am sorry about the driveway. Some bikers park at the back of the cabin instead of the side. I will definitely add some pictures of the driveway. Glad you loved the cabin!

Great size,very clean exaclty as described!

There were 6 adults. We all literally had our own spaces! For example Downstairs had living area, sink and counter for coffee bathroom and 2 bedrooms! Same other floors except upstairs loft no living area but huge bedroom with shower/bathroom in loft! Big washer/dryer. Super clean all over! Host was amazing, always responded promptly and was very personable . Hottub was amazing ! Location was away from things,quite,remote. We loved it!

Carrie Murphy the owner was wonderful to work with. The place its self on the inside was perfect. Everything we would need or want. Very nice and clean. The outside itself needed some work done. The grounds outside definitely needs some love and attention. Poison IVY everywhere amd the yard area hadnt been trimmed in weeks. But overall a really good experience.

Secluded Cabin in the woods

Overall we had a great time! Communication with the host prior to our trip was great. I had difficulty viewing messages and never received a return call regarding suggestions on parking multiple cars since the driveway is very steep. I was thankful a light was left on downstairs since I arrived late by myself and the solar lights outside had already turned off. There was one toilet that hadn’t been cleaned and the dishwasher was empty but had food residue and was a little smelly. It was a quick fix to clean those up before other guests arrived. The house was otherwise clean minus some cobwebs which happens overnight in a place that deep in the woods. It had all of the dishes and amenities we needed and was a cozy atmosphere! If you are looking to get away from everything this is your place!!

This was the perfect mountain getaway!! The house was beautiful! The host was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful leading up to and during our stay. The house was great for a few couples heading to a wedding at sugar hollow retreat. Everything about the house was perfect and having a hot tub was an extra special touch. Highly recommend!!!
