Relax on the lake!

Wanted: great people who want a peaceful get-away from it all!

6 people for the base rate ($10 extra per night per person 9 person max. )


Boat Fees: (these are paid directly to Carr’s).
Pontoon: 600/week 1 tank of gas included (or $125 for a one-day rental)
Two Kayaks/Canoe/Paddle Boat FREE if you rent the pontoon for the week...or you may rent them by the day or week:
One Kayak: 15/day or 100/week
Two Kayaks: 25/day or 150/week

Row Boat: 50/day or 250/week

Week long stays from Saturday to Saturday are required from Memorial Day to Labor Day. (Our peak season)

We provide bedding and 6 towels and 6 wash-cloths for 6 people.
We also provide towels for the kitchen and hand towels for the bathrooms.

We are a fully licensed Hotel-Tourist Rooming House -with the Barron County DHHS Public Health Services Dept.

Our water is tested every May, to make sure it is 100% safe and it tastes GREAT!
We also have a Culligan water system!

Inspections are done yearly, as we want you to know that you are getting a quality home to vacation at. We have been providing a great place for our guests to relax at since 1999. If you can find an open date, we'd love to have you at-the-lake!

We have WiFi and Direct TV in the lake home...so you can take care of your business and your social life too!

There is no place better than to come to NW WI and enjoy the peace and serenity of Wisconsin's Northwoods in this updated, comfortable home. Each room has a beautiful view of Poskin Lake. The home has a nice level lot and a large private dock.

You can rent the pontoon boat/kayaks/paddle boat for one small fee if you would like to enjoy the entire lake. (this fee is separate...you decide what you'd like for your days at-the-lake!)

There are French Doors that lead to a large deck, with chairs to relax in. There is an L-shaped dock with a sturdy ladder, along with a swim raft that also has a sturdy ladder. At night, view the stars and enjoy some S' mores and marshmallows around the campfire. Wood is included as a bonus!

Our home has two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
Bedroom One has a queen-size log bed. (main floor)
Bedroom Two has a queen-size log bed. (second floor-lake view)
Bedroom Three has a queen-size log bed. (second floor-lake view)

On the main floor of the home, you will enjoy a nice large eating area and a well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen table seats 6-8 people.

Our main floor also includes:
- A large bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub,
- A living area with a futon and a glider rocker, and a large living room with a Smart TV, a couch, a love seat, a rocker, and windows galore!
- A card table for your laptop, doing puzzles, or playing games.

You can watch the sunset from this room, the deck, or the dock!

Poskin Lake is located in beautiful northwest Wisconsin.
- 10 miles from Turtle Lake Casino
- 10 miles from Cumberland (award-winning Louie's Finer Meat Market) and (Timberland Ski Trail/lighted trails too!).
- Bring your UTV'S/ATV'S for a beautiful ride on the ATV/UTV/Snowmobile trails
(the trails go for miles...right out the door from our driveway!)
- 40-acre playground for UTVS /ATVS only 1 mile away
- 14 miles from the city of Rice Lake (more walking and bike trails)
- 8 miles from Barron. (lighted snow-shoe and skiing trails). Indoor and outdoor swimming....Barron Area Community Center/Outdoor City Pool/Playground too!
- Ice Age Hiking Trail
- St. Croix River - Boat Rides/River Cruises/Kayaking/Canoeing/Hiking


The lake is 150 acres, and is excellent for fishing, as there is a 'no-wake law' from 6:00 PM-10:00 AM every day. If you want to relax and enjoy God's beauty, this is the place to come to!

Great week at the lake

We enjoyed our week at Lake Poskin. We loved having a great view of lake from inside house, deck. Plenty of space to spread out in cabin, lots of extras in kitchen. Appreciated the spacious yard for games, basketball hoop in driveway. Easy communication with owners. Loved being able to rent pontoon and kayaks etc. Easy access to stores, bars/restaurants. Lake was quiet most of the week. Would definitely rent again!

Cute, quiet , peaceful cabin

We only stayed for a couple nights, but this cabin is cute and has all the comforts of home. Beautiful view of the lake. House is warm and cozy. Comfy beds. Good water pressure for showers We would love to come back and stay again

Relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed for a long weekend escape. It was a convenient place to use as a home base while going to antique stores and leaf peeping in the surrounding areas. Chuck and Susie were incredibly thoughtful without being intrusive. Relaxing Weekend

Fall colors were beautiful as we sat on the dock and fished between rain showers. Rain didn’t ruin our quick family getaway as there was plenty to do inside. Cabin is roomy and has a beautiful view. We played games as a family and enjoyed just being together. It is an older home and smelled slightly musty/damp but it was clean. The only downfall for our creature comfort is the shower was very small and the bath tub was difficult to get in and out of. Overall it was a good place to stay.

A weekend away

A perfect space to relax. Just far enough where it feels like a getaway but close enough to home to not have any travel exhaustion! Loved the "extra toys" that came with our stay as well! Just what we needed!

Wonderful short stay

My family and I enjoyed our short stay. House is steps away from lake. We loved the big windows facing the lake and the location of the house in its secluded area. Chuck and Susan were wonderful hosts! We’d definitely stay again!

Love Love Love

We had the best time on Poskin Lake!!! Susan, Chuck and their family are some of the nicest people we have met. The cabin had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable and right on the lake!!! Surrounded by peace and beauty was just what we needed!!! Our dogs were welcome and had the best time running around on the lake!!! We couldn’t have asked for a better time!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!!

Amazing Property - Fishing a must

This is an amazing property with everything you could want from a week/weekend/ or even a couple days at the lake. There is multiple spots to catch a fish. There is a small pond that is packed with good Northern Pike. On top of that, connection to the lake with own private dock. We caught Northern, Bass, Perch, Bluegill all from the lake. The beds are super comfortable with a big jacuzzi tub for some nice relaxing times. The owners are nearby and are willing to help with anything you would need. If you need anything, Riceville is within 15 minutes of the place. I would highly recommend this place and we are favoriting this place for future visits! Thank you so much Carr family!

Family

We wanted to visit with our oldest daughter who lives in Northern Wisconsin. This lake home was perfect!!! My husband and daughter fished everyday and caught several but the giant catfish was the highlight!! The property was beautiful and the home was so comfortable and had everything we needed. Everything from s’mores by the fire pit, to the family of deer that came to visit, the hummingbirds in the flowers, to our dogs roaming and chasing bunnies was amazing!! Susan and Chuck our hosts were very thoughtful and kind, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome…… we will be back!!!!

Northwoods Lake Camp

We had an amazing stay at the Northwoods Lake retreat, with no regrets and we hope to visit again. We were 3 Adults and 2 dogs, and had ample room for relaxation and adventure. The home is fully equipped. We cooked almost all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen, and found ourselves lacking nothing at all. We were lucky enough to rent the pontoon boat for the week and enjoyed evening sunset cruises, as well as leisurely jaunts throughout the day. This is a fantastic place and you could make the trip whatever you desire with all that's available to you here. Best of all, are the owners. The family are local residents and extremely familiar with the area. They gave wonderful advice for further activities, and were fantastic with their communication. They were so wonderful that we really didn't want to leave. If you enjoy your morning coffee on the pier, or even from the kitchen table with a view of humming birds flitting neat the morning glory - this place is for you.

A wonderful week away

This was such a slice of heaven! The house was perfect for our family of 4, grandma, and dogs. The lake was small but perfect for swimming and lazy pontoon and kayak rides. The yard was private, but close enough to the owners in case anything came up. The owners were friendly and had great suggestions of places to go & things to do. A huge bonus for our daughters was the doe and her 3 babies which visited the property multiple times during our stay. We would definitely recommend!

Peaceful lake side stay

This home was an awesome place for our family. Us, our two adult sons, our daughter in law and two kids under two. And two dogs! Beautiful lake view. Wonderful sunsets. Fully equipped, spacious house and yard for all of us to enjoy. Caught some Northern, bass and crappies but mostly enjoyed kayaks and pontoon rides. Chuck and Susie are awesome hosts. Living nearby they are available with any questions and needs. You can have a wonderful week at this home on Lake Poskin.

Golf trip getaway

Hosts and property were and A+. Property was perfectly located between the casino and our tournament at Turtleback. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Beds were very comfortable and the privacy on the lake after a round was a great way to unwind and relax. We will be looking to rebook again next year when our tournament begins. Thank you!!

Great family snowmobile weekend

Six adults and one 17 month old enjoyed a wonderful family 3day weekend. Snowmobile trail was right next door and the ice fishing was very good. The house was plenty big for us and very clean. Susan is a great host
