Best Place to Stay in Kauai - 35' from the Surf - Poipu, Hawaii

Located 35 feet from the surf, my Poipu condo is one of the best places to stay on the Island of Kauai. It has the best close up ocean views on the entire Island. Miles of beautiful coastline, crashing waves, breaching whales, sea turtles, great surfing action, and romantic tropical sunsets can all be seen while relaxing in my oceanfront condo in Poipu Beach. Completely renovated, my air conditioned Kauai condo has woven bamboo flooring, new tropical living room furniture, new patio dining furniture on the lanai, new art work, Tommy Bahama pillow top beds, Tommy Bahama dressers & night stands, new ceiling fans, a new 55-inch high definition flat panel smart television, new plantation style louvered teak doors, new crown molding/wainscoting, new stereo system, CD/DVD player, fresh paint, and much much more. High speed cable & wireless Internet are included.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need. The counter tops are new Golden Crystal granite slabs and backsplash. The cabinets are solid oak. The appliances are top of the line Kitchen Aid stainless steel, featuring a convection oven.

If you plan to surf, boogie board, scuba dive, or snorkel during your vacation, you can't find a better place to stay in Kauai. Vacationers can surf, snorkel, boogie board, scuba dive, and even fish directly out our back door. Boogie boards, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas, and beach towels are provided in the unit. There are also binoculars for viewing the whales, turtles and Hawaiian monk seals.

The trade winds on Kauai blow directly into the bedrooms and living room. Sleeping is a breeze. When the weather gets warm, not many condos in Kauai stay as cool as my condo in Poipu. In addition, there is air conditioning in the condo if you find it too warm.

My condo is one of only two ground floor corner units at Kuhio Shores. The corner units have an extra window that creates a much more panoramic ocean view than the views of the non-corner units. The extra window also makes the condo feel much larger and allows for more air flow. And you can watch the sunsets through this window while sitting in the condo.

Between my condo and the ocean is a beautiful manicured lawn that's perfect for kids. The lawn area feels like it's your own private back yard. It's great.

Having the best ocean view on the island, and with swimming, snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, and scuba diving right out my back door, my condo is, without a doubt, one of the best places to stay in Kauai.

What a wonderful view from the living room, dining room and lanai!! Watched the surfers, saw whales, turtles and monk seals. Excellent communication with Ron. 1st time visiting Kauai and I would definitely come back!

We had a comfortable and relaxing experience staying in Ron's condo. Direct access to the water and tide pools, convenient access to the Beach House restaurant and baby beach next door. Slept very well in the comfortable beds. Made the most of watching the sunset every evening and even doing yoga in the mornings on the lanai! Ron was very responsive when we needed.

Ron was an absolute fabulous host. He was attentive to all my questions and answered them within minutes. We requested to leave our luggage before check in being that we had a soft top jeep and were afraid of our car getting broken into. He didnā€™t hesitate at all. He accommodated us prior to check in time. We truly appreciated that. The condo and its views are breathtaking. My family and I enjoyed every single day there. You are literally steps away from the ocean. We saw whales, turtles, surfers and chickens every day. It was truly incredible. The condo itself is completely renovated and spotless. You have everything you need. The kitchen was also stocked to cook daily meals. We had absolutely zero issues. If I could give Rons place 100 stars I would. Thank you Ron!! We shall be back!

This is an amazing oceanfront location with spectacular views and beach access just steps from the lanai. The unit is highly upgraded and very comfortable for two couples. Ron is a great host, very responsive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Amazing condo

This condo was spectacular in every way. The ocean is right off the back door and the views are incredible. Conveniently located close to shopping, restaurants and Poipu beach where the sea turtles rest every evening.

The location could not have been better. Spent days just sitting on the patio steps away from the ocean watching the locals and sea turtles surf the waves. Great food was all around and the unit itself was in great condition and was well stocked with everything we could ever need. Truly a magical place!!! I would definitely stay here again in the future!!!!

Amazing

This trip was bittersweet. It was supposed to be my mother, brother, and myself, but my mom passed away 9 days before our trip. We had promised we would go regardless. The place was beautiful, view spectacular, location amazing, and accommodations in point. Although the stay was emotional, it was a perfect way to reflect on our loved one in such a beautiful place.

Fantastic place!!

This place was wonderful, beautiful and everything anybody would want. The location was great and the view was amazing. Falling asleep and waking up to the waves crashing in was amazing. Also had a beautiful sunset. We would go back again.

Best location in all of Hawaiian islands

We had the pleasure of having extended stays on 3 islands and our accommodations and available activities at Ronā€™s place on Kuhio Shores were the best. Great snorkelling was steps away from our ground floor unit and the sunset views were amazing. Each day we were entertained with turtle, whale and dolphin sightings, as well as a multitude of surfers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I hope to come back again soon with other family members.

We really enjoyed this property. The proximity to the beach, furnishings, amenities, A/C, cleanliness and ease of parking made this an awesome unit. Also, being super close to Old Koloa Town and a shopping center (in walking distance) gave us a few nearby things to do. We also enjoyed watching the surfers while just hanging on the lanai.The restaurant right next to the building seemed to host a few weddings. The music and dancing added a liveliness to the atmosphere during the afternoons/evenings. They were really good about ending the parties early enough so the noise wasn't a problem at night.Ron is a great host. We had some unexpected construction going on during our stay with scaffolding blocking the view. Ron was very understanding that the view was one of the selling points of this unit. Although the construction was out of his control, he made things right by contacting the building manager to adjust their schedule and also gave us a discount for the inconvenience. Instructions and communication with Ron were straightforward but detailed (we didn't really have any questions). Would definitely consider staying here again!

My twin brother, being a surfer as a young kid, always wanted to live on the oceanfront. Eventually, he got into the real estate business, as well as the development business. In 1989, he sold a custom spec house that he had built in La Costa, California and bought two oceanfront condos in Poipu. Kuhio Shores was his favorite because he could surf right out the back door, and when he wasn't surfing, he could watch the surf action while sitting inside the condo.

Sadly my twin brother passed away in 2015. I too surf and am now able to enjoy this property. It is very special to me and brings back very fond memories. It is situated on one of the most popular surfing and snorkeling areas on Kauai's south shore.

He liked being on the ground floor the best because you don't feel 'trapped' since you can walk right out onto the lawn, which you can't do on any other floor. The lawn makes it feel like you have your own personal backyard, just feet from the ocean. And if you have kids, they can run around on the grass to burn off any extra energy.
