The Princessa de Penasco is a beachfront resort with many wonderful amenities. The resort was designed to emulate the shape of an arc. The arc is made up of five yellow towers that have a beautiful Old World Mexican courtyard in the center. The courtyard has several red brick walkways with flower lined grassy areas shaded by palm trees. The resort has premium amenities like 3 swimming pools, a Jacuzzi spa, and palm frond umbrellas above lounge chairs in the sand. The resort also includes a sand volleyball court where you can challenge your neighbors to a game and an ocean view fitness center that has everything you need to stay in shape. The resort also includes an on-site cantina called Colin's Cantina. Agave has wonderful daily food and drinks specials. This is a very safe resort with 24-hour on-site security. This 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom condo are located on the 2nd floor of the C Tower. This condo has an ocean view and accommodations for up to four guests. The living room has a dark green fabric sofa that doubles as a bed with a matching armchair that has a pillow top pal tree print. The room has a cedar wood coffee table chest with a matching set of lighted end tables and a media cabinet. The media cabinet has a large TV and VCR. In addition, the condo comes with high-speed wireless internet so that you never have to miss an important email and you can post pictures of your vacation experience on FaceBook for your friends and family to see. You can get to the terrace through a set of sliding glass doors off the living room. In the dining room, you have a round oak wood table with four chairs and a beautiful hanging light fixture above to light the area. The wall behind the dining table has a beautiful piece of art mounted on it and there is the beautiful floral centerpiece in the middle of the dining room table. In the kitchen, there are ceramic tiled countertops with white appliances and fully stocked cabinets and drawers. The kitchen has everything you would need to feel as if you are cooking in your own home kitchen. The master bedroom has yellow painted walls with a dark queen size mahogany wood-framed bed that has orange and red checkered floral bedding. There is a mahogany bedside table on each side with a reading lamp and a console table on the opposite side with a TV and a mirror mounted on the wall above. The room has a large double door closet with full-length mirrors and a window with a view of Rocky Point. The bathroom can be accessed through the hallway or the bedroom and has a single sink mirrored vanity with a tub, shower, and commode. The terrace has a black metal table with four matching chairs. The patio would be the perfect spot to kick back and relax with a cold beer or frozen margarita while you feel the warm ocean air kiss your skin. You should definitely dine outside in the evenings so that you can witness the world's most beautiful sunsets. The condo comes with a washer, dryer and ceiling fans throughout. The beach view was beautiful. The kitchen had brand new appliances. The living room and dining room had furniture from the 1970s that was worn out in the 1980's, this in 2026. I'm 79 years old, and that was the most uncomfortable furniture I have sat on in my life. It was miserable sitting on the furniture; we brought extra seat cushions to add to the seats to even make it halfway comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great.

Weekend get away

It was nice but tv in our bedroom did not work. Too many screaming kids in the pool which made it impossible to relax. Restaurant on the property was very nice and the staff was friendly!

Nice place, comfy resort

The room was great. Pillows could use some work, but overall, nice place to stay. It would be nice if the jacuzzi's all worked. Only one was hot and it seemed to always be full. As for the room though, it was great.

Great resort, we were disappointed the cantina was closed.

My only complaint is that the cantina was closed during our stay. It's really the main reason we picked to stay at the Princesca. Had we known it was closed we would have stayed elsewhere. It made getting food much more inconvenient.

Princesa is awesome

First of all, Princesa Resort is awesome! We arrived early in the morning to PeƱasco needing to kill time since our check in was at 4pm. We decided to go over to see if we can hang out by the pool, the staff right away let registered us and let us in the facility. Awesome staff and atmosphere. Bunch of activities right by the beach. 10 out of 10!!

The property was clean but nothing to write home about. Very basic condo with very little decorations. You would expect a little more from a beach condo. All in all it was a nice place for the price.

Much Fun!

The location of the room was great as itā€™s right in front of the elevator for each access to car or beach. The cabanas down at the beach were great to lounge and easily near the bar for drinks. The room is older but well kept by staff. TVs in this unit are older but they gave a ton of dvds! All in all we were not in the room so it was great for what our trip wasā€¦a fast, inexpensive getaway as a mom with her kiddos! Will stay again šŸ‘Œ

Needs repairs

This is a nice unit but is in need of many repairs. Toilet rocks. Couch springs are protruding. Shower head is terrible. Patio door is hard to open and does not lock. PM allows extremely loud music at the pool till late.

Disappointing experience

For context purposes, we were staying to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were firm on our date of travel. This limited our selection of places quite a bit. We had stayed at Princessa Penasco previously several years ago, so we knew what to expect as far as the area goes. Casago is a property Management company that manages rental property units for private owners who do not want to be involved in the rental process and they let Casago manage the reservation, communication, check in/out process and any maintenance that needs to be performed on the units. That being said, the Casago process is very vague after you make your reservation. You need to go to the check in desk at the property to retrieve your keys and wristbands when arriving. There is little communication with you about where to go etc, only a confirmation of payment received. So it can be confusing for first timers staying at a rental condo. It is very similar to a hotel check in process. Now for the negatives. First, the unit was an older unit, that is showing its age. There were several places with old water stains showing on the interior ceiling. The hot water in the shower was either cold or just above tepid temperature. There is a floor drain in the bathroom that started emanating sewer gas smell on the second day of our stay. Pouring a gallon of water down this drain helped a lot. And I had a ceiling light fixture fall and shatter the glass shade in the living room, while adjusting the fan.

Beautiful condo

Condo is perfect for a small family. There was 4 of us, 2 adults 2kids and it was a perfect place to stay. Pool/ocean view, has a washer/dryer stacker and a little kitchen. The restaurant on premises is pretty good too!! It's our second time staying at this condo.

Toilet

The first day there I used the toilet to urinate. The toilet overflowed and flooded the bathroom and went all the way out to the kitchen. I went to the front desk and they sent someone up. He claimed it was fixed. Later it did the same thing. We were told by the front desk that a guy would be there in 20 minutes. Many hours later we got someone there with two front desk staff. They got the toilet working. There was no offer of any kind of compensation for the inconvenience of having to walk all the way to the workout building to use the bathroom for half the trip. Lastly we were only given one key to the room and when we checked out they said we had two. This was not correct and we were charged for the key. On a positive note the resort is beautiful and the swim up bartender Ramone is awesome!
