Don't be deceived by other properties in Rocky Point that claim proximity to the ocean, only to find out later that you have to drive or walk for miles before you reach the beach. And even if you reach the beach, you may find a rocky beach. That is not the case with Sonoran Spa, which is located on "Sandy Beach".

2 non working kitchen items!!

We stayed for 12 days and we notified the front desk of an issue with the garbage disposal that was never resolved. It was not working and was very smelly. They came and looked it over and said it needed a part. We tried to run the dishwasher on 2 different occasions only to find half used soap packet in it and stopped midway through the cycle. The location was fabulous, but the front desk was not helpful!

The condo was nice. Just not used to not having the necessities. Like paper towels, back up toilet paper and a water jug. When staying at Sun or Sea these items are included.

Beautiful Condo in Puerto Peñasco

We very much enjoyed our stay at your condo. The views were amazing, and, as two couples traveling together, we very much appreciated each bedroom having a king bed. Great property!

Nice enough, but won’t stay here again.

Let’s start with the good: The property was clean and beautiful and was extremely affordable. The not so great: -The WiFi didn’t work. At all. -The sheets on the bed were terrible and we spent most of the night putting them back on the mattress. -the pillows were small and stained. -The showers didn’t work properly and would only spray half of the water flow. -The owners didn’t inform me that I would have to pay a $200 deposit at check in that took a week to get back. That’s important information that needs to be communicated PRIOR to arrival. -I’ve stayed in Rocky point multiple times and have always been given an over abundance of information from the hosts. This was not the case. After inquiring about our late arrival time I was sent a google search about a 10pm curfew. We tried desperately to get to the resort prior to 10pm for this reason and when we realized we wouldn’t make it, we turned around and went home for the night only to go back the next morning and find out that wasn’t actually the case and it was open 24/7. I did attempt to contact the property manager the next morning to make sure we could still check in, via the VRBO app as well as by their personal cell phone they gave me and was ignored on both. -The listing was no longer available shortly after I booked so I was not able to show my guests where we would be staying. This was extremely nerve wracking and I wasn’t sure we were actually going to have a place to stay until we were given the keys at check in. -The host also kept telling me the resort would collect my remaining payment at check in. I paid in full and had to confirm that. That would also have been a good time to mention the required deposit. -Irrelevant information, but in an attempt to find the property and show my family where we were going, I came across a google search and it appears this property is for sale, so I now understand why this experience was much less than I’ve experienced with other hosts. I wish you the best. The hosts were very nice and responsive for the most part, but lacked important information. We’ve stayed at all of the Sonoran resorts in Rocky Point. This one was by far our least favorite. This has nothing to do with the owners or the individual unit, but the pools were small, full of screaming children and no swim up bar like the others. I’m not sure why it is named “spa”. There is nothing spa like about it. We will stick with the sea and sun going forward.

Beautiful view, unit needs a total overhaul and cleanup

This property is great and well manicured. The unit itself needs to be completely overhauled and cleaned up. The unit was very dingy, scum on the curtains and walls, very limited towels and toilet paper. No water was provided for daily use. The wifi does not work. The outdoor desperately needs a ceiling fan, which could be bought used for $5 if needed…the guest bedroom bed seems broken and i had to hold onto one side to avoid falling in the middle dip. We stay in PP often and this unit was certainly not up to standard. Owning 18 units doesn’t make this unit special, it makes it used and abused and not cared for. No decor matches and the dishes are a collaboration of Goodwill finds thrown together. It was a sad disappointment, especially because we were in charge of picking the unit. We work online and the fact that we couldn’t work since the wifi doesn’t exist, despite being “included” is a whole other huge issue.

Family vacay

The overall stay was great. Condo was great for us and child. View was amazing. But the internet did not work at all. First day tv worked fine with internet next day it completely stopped working. Contacted property manager but still nothing. For us with child that needed internet here and there was stressful. Anyways, everything else was good. Will come again hoping internet is working and better.
