The Cardinal Cottage is a comfortable, roomy, 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage located in a small, upscale established development. Our guest cottage is just 10 minutes from downtown Hendersonville and the Asheville Airport. The cottage is located 1/4 mile from a main two lane highway. Our paved dead end private road hosts only 9 homes. The cottage is situated on our 10 acre property and through dense woods in a private setting.
The Cardinal is nestled in a forest of mature pines and oaks. The land surrounding the Cardinal is level and there are only three steps from the driveway into the cottage. The cottage is surrounded by large wooded tracts, creating a very quiet relaxing and private setting. The location is perfect for all your sightseeing adventures or relaxing on the porch. The cottage is close to Hendersonville and Mills River but a retreat all its own.

The Cardinal is nicely decorated and has a fully equipped and stocked kitchen. A large screened-in porch is accessed through double French doors off the living room. Enjoy relaxing on the porch while white squirrels scamper and birds land on the feeders. An occasional flock of turkeys or a deer might wander by. The porch boasts an old-fashioned wooden swing, 4- person dining table and 2 comfortable reading chairs.The living room is spacious with comfortable furniture and a game table for cards or computer work. There are 2 Smart HD tvs. The one in the living room is 4K with a DVR. The other Smart TV is in the twin bedroom. One bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The twins can be converted to a king for 3 weeks stays or longer. Both have large dressers and double-deep closet space. The bathroom offers a comfort height commode, 2 grab bars and a hand -held shower wand.

A high efficiency central air and heating system keeps you comfortable Year round. A washer- dryer is located in the garage which is also heated and air conditioned.
An attractive stone lined paved road leads you through the woods to the cottage. The yard is sunny and flat for you to enjoy a game of bocce, crochet or throwing a frisbee. A large gas grill and grilling utensils are available for cookouts.
