Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was so dark, dingy, rundown and unpleasant that I booked another unit in Ariel Dunes II on Airbnb so that I didn’t have to stay there. I did take advantage of the beach service for one day, though. Thanks.

Overall a nice condo

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice room and great location. The pools were great!!! This resort has the easiest check in and out process by far. Loved the access code for door instead of keeping up with key cards. My only complaint was the floors need a good cleaning, my kids feet were black after walking on them after getting there. Also we were charged for our second vehicle for parking when our room slept 6 and we registered the two vehicles. Then they said they would refund it but only refunded part of it. But overall a nice room and a great vacation!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about our Topeka Experience was wonderful with the exception of the accommodations. Our Unit was poorly furnished. The balcony wicker chairs were falling apart and missing cushions. No small table provided on the balcony. The living room had a very uncomfortable couch and no coffee table. The Queen sized bed was extremely soft and unsupportive. The full bath shower drained very poorly. The Unit description included a well-stocked unit. It was missing the basics: no coffee filters, only one small pouch of coffee, no sugar, salt & pepper, no tea bags... But there were many clean towels!

It was only just a short 6 minute walk to the beach and it was absolutely wonderful. I will for sure be looking to stay here again.

Would’ve been nice if they provided beach chairs as well. The washer was very noisy also. Paid extra for early check in. We drove from Ohio and they said they’d send the code as soon as it was ready, possibly earlier than the guaranteed time, and had to call for the code at the guaranteed time, which was a little disappointing. We was exhausted, but I understand earlier than the guaranteed time was not a guarantee.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not what we were expecting for the price of the rental. The unit needs some work and TLC for sure. Very basic in decorating. The walls had lots of black marks. The ice maker was covered with frozen condensation. The coffee cups were put up dirty. The drain in the kitchen sink could use some bleach. The bathroom paint/wall covering over the shower was cracking and coming down. I never could get the dishwasher to turn on before we left. The mattress was very uncomfortable. On the balcony, there was mildew on the floor and white chairs. The cushions for the chairs were very worn and tearing. We have stayed at Ariel Dunes before and this is not the norm.

Reviewer Comments: The bed was trouble,It was a queen bed frame with a regular size mattress.The patio chairs were worn out and nasty .I had to fix the ice maker in the fridge so we could have ice. there were light bulbs missing in both bathrooms,we had to go to Walmart and buy our own bath clothes.and there were no dish cloths.The entire condo needs a complete upgraded.

We are so sorry for the hot water going bad during your stay. Unfortunately, these things do happen in vacation rentals, just as they do at home, but we are so glad we were able to get this resolved ASAP for you. We know the frustrations this causes regardless, and sincerely regret that things were not perfect for you as a result. Please know - all one bedrooms are the exact same size in Ariel Dunes I or II. Main storage is designed for owner usage and located outside of the condo - so only standard indoor storage is available for guests using the unit - although since everything is provided in the units for you - typically guests do not need extensive storage space for large items - as there is the master closet, linen closet, hallway closet, pantry and cupboards. This said, in the future if you have large items that you want to keep inside of your rented condo - we would recommend selecting a larger unit in the future. -The Seascape-Resort Team

Unit was not cleaned very well, TV completely disconnected, blinds to balcony broken, and not a single oven mitt if you plan to cook in the room. This resort is also very noisy! For what I paid to stay here, I just expected more. My son and I will not be returning to Ariel Dunes. However, check in was very easy. I did appreciate that they called to be sure I received all information just wish we had a better experience.
