Location: Amalfi Coast Resort, Scenic Gulf Drive, Miramar Beach, Florida (one mile west of Silver Sands Outlet Mall on Scenic Gulf Drive).

Accommodations: Condo, 1 Bedroom, sleeper sofa, plus bunk area, sleeps 6, and 2 full baths

Want to stay in a place that arks around a tropical lagoon on one of the highest elevations on the Emerald Coast? If so, then you have got to try our condo at the Amalfi Coast or at least our Florida version of the Italian original. Barefoot by the Sea sits on eight and one half acres of beautifully landscaped grounds on Scenic Gulf Drive. The elevation here was created by an old dune which was used by mariners to mark this part of the beach from the adjacent flats. The gated beach access across the street from the Amalfi Coast takes full advantage of this height with an old fashioned Observation Gazebo which sits above the staircase that leads down to the beach. The condo complex wraps around twin swimming pools which are elevated above a natural lagoon with a festive fountain. A graceful, arching pedestrian bridge from the pool area crosses over the lagoon and past the palm trees to take you to the beach. The simultaneous views of the twin pools, lush landscaping, lagoon and grassy lawns with the gulf in the distance are quite stunning. Barefoot by the Sea is one bedroom with two baths, fully equipped kitchen, open dining and living areas, a hallway cove that includes bunk beds, washer and dryer as well as the covered balcony.

Rental not available to vacationing students or singles under age of 25. No smoking and no pets.

Our condo shares one thing in common which is a fantastic location on Miramar Beach. Located half way between Destin and Scenic 30A in South Walton you have the best of both worlds so to speak, due to its conveniently centralized location. Scenic Gulf Drive has beachfront dining just minutes away from the Surf Hut, Whale's Tail, Pompano Joe's, Royal Palm Grill and Crab Trap. The largest Designer Outlet Silver Sands, is also located in Miramar Beach. A multitude of restaurants, shops, galleries and live entertainment abound nearby at Sandestin, Baytowne Wharf and on Grand Boulevard.

Brand new state of the art Sacret Heart Hospital within two miles with 24 hour emergency and helicopter.

Only a Week of Paradise

Our stay was way too short. Only one small comment inconvenienceā€¦.the beach was a liitle far of a walk. The host was terrific!!!!!!!!!

Destin 2013 in the books.....awesome trip! Condo was clean, spacious and just as described. This location couldn't be better with the pools and beach access right across the street and the new ramp access to the beach is so helpful especially when your lugging all the "things" for your beach day. Great pool area! Condo is right across the street from the beach access and is in close proximity to 30A and many restaurants and shopping areas. Sally was helpful and provided quick response to any questions or needs!

Excellent vacation

We had an excellent vacation at the beach. The condo was great, very clean, well equipped and organized. Communication with Sally was great, before and during our stay. She was always available to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this condo. We will certainly go back in the future.

Great Location

We really loved the location of this property (right across from the beach) and the resort had nice green space and pools. The owner was responsive to our questions before and during our stay. Negatives for me were the furniture seemed pretty worn out, the towels could use a refresh and although the appliances were old they functioned just fine. Overall we were happy with everything and felt we got a good value.

Great host communication. The condo was ready early and Sally emailed to let us know we could check in early! Condo clean and well equipped. Great location with beach access directly across the street. Close to restaurants and the outlet mall. The beach service was an added bonus. Will definitely look to stay here next year.

We enjoyed our stay! The room was nice size and very clean! We loved the pool and being close to the beach. I was a little disappointed that the beach access across the street was closed. Overall, we were very pleased!

The unit was clean and exactly what was pictured in the listing. Great view from the balcony. Short walk to the beach and even a cart to carry your things was provided in the unit. Close to some of the best rated restaurants in Destin/ Miramar beach. Would highly recommend to family and friends!!

A perfect get away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was perfect. I had read other reviews about it being well stocked, but I can confirm it truly is. Sally and Mark have thought of pretty much anything you could need over the course of the trip and this is a huge help when all you really want to do is get down to the beach. The condo is very well maintained, clean and comfortable. The grounds, pools, etc are well kept. This place is A+ all the way. If I did have one complaint its that the beach access across the street is closed ( as of early June '22) and you have to walk down further to get to the public access. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of when renting. Otherwise this is place is perfect and I will look at staying here again on our next trip.

Best retreat!

The owners were fantastic and the condo was super clean and stocked with everything. I really didnā€™t even watch TV since I spent most the time out on the balcony enjoying the sights and sounds when we werenā€™t in the pool or at the beach! I love that the two pools in the pond were enclosed so the kids could run around without leaving the grounds.Would definitely recommend!

Barefoot state of mind

When we entered we couldn't believe how spacious and clean it was. All the information we needed was available in the Binder Kathy left. Access to the beach was close by and the beach service was wonderful. We tried many of the restaurants that were suggested and they were great. We especially liked the Surf Hut which was easy to walk to from the condo. I would recommend this for a couple or a young family of four.

A perfect week!

We had an awesome week in this unit! You are able to see the ocean from the balcony, as well as the resortā€™s pond! This property was very clean, and the 3 showers were very convenient for our family! The condo had all needed kitchen supplies, and even came with a beach cart! The resort has awesome pools, a fire pit area, and several grills for outdoor cooking. The owner was very helpful and quick with her responses!

We knew the Emerald Coast and this little slice of paradise was our 'home' after my tour to Eglin AFB. We met here and we love the powder sugar beaches of the area, swimming, boating and fishing. Destin is 'the Luckiest Little Fishing Village' so we knew immediately that we would put down permanent roots here. We want to share our home and treasured beaches with our family from Illinois, friends and visiting guests. We hope you can visit and fall in love with our beautiful paradise just like we did so many years ago!

The location of our condo will take your BREATH AWAY!! Our second floor unit is safe and secure, provides spectacular views, away from potential pedestrian noise from pool and the street. The resort is gated for your security and now offers a fitness center and firepit. This stretch of Miramar Beach doesn't have unsightly high rises. It provides for a relaxing vacation.
